I’ve been a customer of your Ashgrove store for years now and I realized somehow I hadn’t left you a Google review yet. This store is always busy and with good reason - fantastic range of fresh and delicious meat products that my family and I have enjoyed for years. Service is always excellent - friendly and helpful staff. We’ve possibly just had my fave product purchase yet though - lamb kofta meatballs. Wow! They are incredible. Thank you for everything you do, and I look forward to supporting your business for many years to come.
This butcher and delicatessen is always of the freshest of standards with lots of different meatnto choose from. The staff are so lovely and have that gentlemen service that you don’t see much of these days. Absolutely love visiting here, and they always offer to cut up my meat for me if I’d like. Nothings too much trouble for them. 100% recommend using them for your meats and they stock other products as well! thanks guys
Most meat from there is good, and staff are friendly. But, today I got a pork belly. I asked for one from the back fridge rather than the vacuum sealed stuff they have out the front. I’m really experienced at cooking pork belly, hence why I wanted a piece that’s not vacuum sealed. The moisture of vacuum seal will take 24-48 hours drying out, but a good fresh cut of pork belly should be good to go without needing to dry out.nnIt’s clear that I’ve been given something with a lot of moisture in it I’m guessing it was vacuum sealed even out of the back fridge. I could see tons of moisture coming off the fat after letting it stand and salting it. Crackling failed even at 280 cnnBad experience tbh, I go to a butcher to avoid these things
