Me Oi

About

Me Oi is one of Sydneys finest Vietnamese Restaurant. Our warm and cosy venue along with our delicious, fresh Vietnamese cuisine will make you feel at home

Story

People ask us, "What does Me Oi mean?". 'Me Oi' (pronounced meh-oy) is Vietnamese and it simply means, 'Hey Mum!'. We say this when we want to ask for something. And we use it most when we are hungry; "Me Oi, can you cook me a bowl of pho?" It's an endearing term used among all Vietnamese families, and is a testament to the love and care of their cooking, and also the dedication towards their children. When we say 'Me Oi', it holds all these values in this one phrase.

When mum makes us food, she only uses the most freshest and highest quality ingredients, with plenty of love that only a mother can give. This is what our food represents; family. And from family comes the inspiration for the store decor. All of our interior and design is reminiscent of our own home back in Nha Trang. The origin of our home is the origin of this store's beginnings.

So when you step into our store, you can say that you've stepped into our home, eating mum's cooking. That's why we believe that we are the No.1 Vietnamese Pho, because mum's cooking is always the best. Our food is a dedication to our mum's and all the mum's out there.

Welcome to Me Oi. Welcome home.

Delicious and affordable Vietnamese restaurant. Service was decent, food was full of flavour and huge portion size. We had the BBQ pork and BBQ beef vermicelli salad with spring roll. The only thing if I have to be critical is the decor of the place; a tad weird with the sneakers on the wall and NBA posters. But will definitely be back for more food!
Came in and was honestly disappointed with our experience as the moment we stepped in the man was wiping the table for us and completely misses the stains and leftovers so we had to wipe it ourself. Next was the ordering as the person seemed clueless as we ended up waiting forever for pho which is ridiculous as it’s one of the fastest dishes to prepare. We had to remind them and think they legit placed the order just then. The drinks are also unavailable and it gets worse as we then settled for just tea and the tea was also unavailable. The food itself is also quite average so nothing is really justified. Disappointed.
Great pho just out from the main restaurants in Strathfield. Food is great however just a little pricey for medium sized pho. Cool interior with Jordan’s inside. Customer service could have been more proactive. Usually tea is offered, but this time around, we had to ask for tea.
The service was fast, and friendly. The food mostly was decent, albeit a bit pricey for the quality, but very decent considering the serving sizes large. The pho alone is worth it, the crispy skin chicken was more than acceptable. The pork vermicelli was lack lustre, somehow it seemed to be lost, missing smokey bbq mailard flavours. The coffee, was way too sweet, and missing that strong coffee aroma that marks a great Vietnamese coffee. Bland milky and sweet... The restaurant was cleanly and well presented, this place is worth a visit, but not quite good enough to be a regular.
It's everything you'd come to expect from a Vietnamese Pho noodle shop. It's has a decent menu to choose from, in case noodles are not your thing. Great tasting Pho without having to travel to Bankstown or Cabramatta, but the shop feels cleaner. Pho also comes in 3 sizes, to suit all appetites, but warning, the large isn't for the faint hearted. The prices are more than what you'd pay in Bankstown or Cabramatta, but the travel more than makes up for it if you are in the area. The staff are very friendly and never feels like they're rushing you. A great side attraction is the Jordan images on the walls + a very large collection of Air Jordan shoes. If you cannot remember the name of this restaurant, you can just google "Jordan Pho shop" or "Jordan Pho restaurant" it will be the first return in either.
Was a little difficult to find unless you were looking for it though the interior appears newly furbished and cute with their babyblue and white combination. An odd display of high top Jordan sport shoes along the wall... not sure why but it's a basketball theme all throughout. Nevertheless they sadly do not do fried rice so we opted for Pho Tai rare beef which had a splendid tender beef. The broth was pleasant and flavoursome. Highly recommended due to the tender beef. I also ordered a pork summer rice paper roll as I didn't have my medicine for crustaceans allergies sob sob. I wouldn't recommend this as they only provided one thin layer of pork. All I could taste was scrumptious lettuce. I would have expected them to add in another layer of pork to substitute for the prawns. My main meal was a crispy chicken dry noodle set. I was taken aback for their portions were generous! Recommend it! Flavours were well balanced. Staff are extremely friendly though not attentive to the fact that our tables were not cleared when we've clearly finished and stacked our bowls. Nevertheless highly recommend this place. Not bad.
Great food and good service. The pho comes in small medium and large, my wife has the small and a friend had the medium... Neither finished their bowl... I had the pork and was very impressed. The chili labelled crazy hot, lived up to the labelling...
The broth was nice at first taste, but it slowly tasted a bit sour without putting in lemon juice, the beef was thick and mushed together, the broth was not hot enough to cook the raw beef nor the bean sprouts. The portions are big, but is it worth the price? I don't think so. The fusion pho, can't tell what was fusion about it :/
Me Oi is the best pho in Sydney. Even there are An and Hello Auntie in Sydney. Actually, it’s the best pho in my heart . In this 4 years, I always went to Me Oi with my roommate and girlfriend. Me Oi”s spicy oil is very yummy as well. I still have one in my home... where can I buy this spicy oil in Sydney now......... I hope I can see you soon.
I got Pho and the noodles were good but the meat was slightly over cooked and chewy. The broth was excellent though.
