Maxi IGA is scamming me!!!!!nEverything is so expensive and so overpriced!nToday me and my friends went into IGA and we were walking down the lolly aisle and everything was on sale and something catches are eye immediately so we walk over and on the Mars bar fun size pack it says that for special it is seven dollars and the original price was seven dollars. This is a full on scam and I’m very disappointed in IGA.nnOne star.nnHello again, I am back with another not so great review. Again IGA is scamming me.nToday I bought some doughnuts from IGA and if you go look at the photo that I posted you will see why I am disappointed and don’t even get me started on there prices nnAgain one star
If you’re just after snacks, soft drinks or a bottle of water you may as well go to a servo, the supermarket has better prices on the items originally but the servos often do a deal where you get the second item for 50 cents or a dollar and more often than not you’ll be saving somewhere between $5 and $8nnIf you’re wanting to do a big shop go to the little IGA prices aren’t much better but they are better, also food quality is much better, literally half the fruit and vegetables were rotten in maxi IGA when I last went through, lettuce at the front looked a little brown when I looked at it, not terrible but i wanted something a little better, dug to the back and almost threw up when I saw the lettuce, strawberries were covered in mould and looked black, cherry tomatoes had gone brown, it’s actually disgusting. Please if you do buy from here at least check what you buy is edible
Used to love it here unfortunately I haven’t had a pleasant experience in years, staff are rude, they constantly swear, won’t move if you need to grab something and then when you do need something there’s no one for miles, one time I showed up with 10 minutes before they closed, the door was already pulled down halfway, when I asked the old man by the door if I could come in he yelled at me and said I should’ve been earlier, I pleaded to come in since they were supposed to be open for 10 minutes longer, he did eventually let me in but when I started walking in he yelled and told me to run, all that I could’ve ignored, except the other day I came in, what I wanted wasn’t on the shelf, I asked someone if they knew if they had any out the back, he went and looked for me, he came back to tell me they still had heaps out the back but he’d been told by his manager he couldn’t put it out until the sale was over, I thought maybe this was a joke but I came back a few days later, no sale sticker and the shelf was full. This is pathetic and one of the greediest things I have ever seen a business do
MUSIC. too loud in the store.nStaff indifferent to customersnThey are the moment are 1 of 2 supermarkets in townnPrices are a little high.nClean store, great variety
When I went to maxi it’s on the 14 of June, I got scammed. Along the lollie aisle there was lots of “low prices” tags. Me and my friends were looking at the gum section, trying to find the cheapest gum when we saw a “ low price” tag. I was interested in what the original price was so I lifted up the tag to see and I was shocked. The original price of the gum was $5.55 and the low price tag was $5.50 although this is not a scam it was still a bit outrageous to put a low price tag on. We had a laugh and kept walking brushing it off within then then saw more price tags on chocolates We looked at them to see if they had the “ Low price” Tag as the gum. We then saw. One of the biggest scams I have ever encountered as detailed in the picture below. The original price was seven dollars And The” Low price” Was seven dollars as well we pointed this out to an IGA worker and they removed the tags and started sticking on new ones. If we had not pointed out that scam so many people would’ve fallen for it, I’m still outraged and this is why I’m leaving Maxi IGA one star.
