Excellent place to stay. Very friendly hosts. Comfy bed, great shower pressure. Salt pool was lovely, didn't hurt my eyes at all. Loungers were a nice touch. Good location as a base to explore.
Second time we have stayed at the Matador and we cannot speak more highly of this place as a motel choice if you are in the Wairarapa. Firstly, we choose the Matador because it is dog friendly and with our two dogs we are super delighted.nThe rooms are absolutely top notch and we could not find anything to complain about with the layout, the facilities, the top condition, cleanliness and everything worked fine.nBarry and Colleen are delightful to deal with, very patient and accommodating. Their service is superb.nThe pool is fantastic, clean and refreshing after a long day touring the Wairarapa. The price is competitive and reasonable for what you get.nIts a short walk to a number of Carterton eateries and bars.nIf you plan on staying in or around Carterton then choose the Matador. You wont be disappointed.
Great place to stay in Carterton.nI stay in alot of motels when away for work and this is always one of the cleanest.nGood bed and quiet at night so I always have a good nights sleep here.nFriendly staff, I would definitely recommend.
I spent last Saturday night stayig at the Matador and it was lovely.nThe room was small but they had all ready told me that and it was my choice but perfectly clean and had everything I needed. The sheets were white and crisp, and the bed was seriously comfortable. The owners were also charming.nI would highly recommend the Matador when hanging out in the metropolis of Carterton.
We booked this as an last minute emergency due to a change of plans! The staff were lovely and very informative. We had complimentary sweets and milk for breakfast. It's not advertised on the website but there is cooking facilities hot plate microwave and kettle. Very cosy room with Netflix and all the facilities needed.
