Carterton Holiday Park offers a park-like setting with individual private sites. It is close to the shops, parks, swimming pools and the entrances to the Tararua Ranges. The park offers 24 power sites, numerous non-power and tent sites. It also boasts 6 fully furnished, heated and carpeted self-contained units sleeping up to 6 people (bring your own bedding or hire from us) plus 4 budget cabins. The park also has well equipped communal facilities.

We were in town for a funeral. We booked a lovely powered site for our MH and a cabin for our eldest. Site spacious and fresh water and grey on each site. The cabin was fantastic. Toilet and shower, full kitchen. We cooked in there one night for 5 of us had everything we needed. Easy walk to town and the railway station. Lovely spot and will very likely be back. Thanks guys also for letting us know so promptly that our oldest had left her dress behind.
Traveling aimlessly about in my campervan with my little dog and stayed in this lovely park. Feel compelled to make my first ever review because it was such a pleasure. Facilities and grounds are excellent and I appreciate the strict dogs on lead rule. Thanks for your hospitality and I know I will come back again.
We arrived late, but the staff still checked us in without any problems. The campground is very clean, quiet, and well maintained. The kitchen is well equipped, the price is very reasonable, and the surroundings are green and peaceful. The area is nicely sheltered from the wind, which makes the stay even more comfortable. Highly recommended!
Despite our late arrival, the owners were very accommodating. They were available and attentive from the moment we arrived. The bathrooms and the kitchen are very clean. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this place!
Can't comment on rooms as we are staying on one of the tent sites. These are spacious and well managed. Facilities are clean and well presented and the reception staff were warmly welcoming and helpful for local activities. Big bonus for us is we were able to bring our dog, where some other local camp grounds would not allow.
