My friends and I have met in this pub for years with no issues however, on Tuesday we were bitterly disappointed with the food we were presented with. We ordered the squid starter, chicken strips, nacho sharer and rosemary and salt fries. The food was cold when it arrived. The portions were inadequate for the price paid. The food was returned after we expressed our disgust and fresh food supplied. Portions inadequate, little topping on nachos with cheese sauce used, as opposed to proper cheese., and minimal slivers of jalapeños. The salsa was more like ketchup. There was no rosemary or salt on the fries and the squid was 4 tiny pieces with garnish as a disguise. We raised concerns about the food with the staff and were advised they were sorry but couldn't do anything about it, so why apologise!. In these unprecedented times when we are encouraged to support the pubs and restaurants to keep them viable do not charge your customers increased prices for inadequate food . Treat your customers with respect and stop taking advantage of them. We will not purchase food here again. Very poor
We visited here for the first time yesterday and have to say we were left disappointed. Overall as a group of 9 we spent around £200 or more on food and drinks but the food was below average and very overpriced . A portion of chips here which was around 10-15 chips served in a miniature pie dish of all things was £2.79. Absolutely disgraceful . I wish I had taken a picture but if anyone gets these from here you will see what I mean. We went to order the nacho sharer but was told they'd run out of nachos but judging by a photo of these on another person's review I'm pleased we didn't get it.The chicken sharer platter was average but not enough to share overall. A single person could eat that easily. We also had to take our own empty glasses to the bar twice as nobody came round. There were only a few members of staff who seemed bothered to be there to be honest , the others had miserable faces and didn't look interested. We got there an hour after opening yet every cubicle in the ladies toilets didn't have any toilet roll . It was rectified after telling the staff but surely this should be a normal check before opening up! Also the male toilets had no toilet roll and had wee all over the floor. The general cleanliness was poor . A member of our party had ordered a gin and had to take the same glass back for a refill as we were told they didn't have enough glasses. Would like to say we would come back here but it's definitely not value for money and the general cleanliness was bad so unfortunately I doubt we will.
Was at the junction for the England vs France apart from the result overall had a great time. Service was fast and drinks were well priced with student discount. Would definitely recommend for uni students especially.
After a Disastrous experience at the corner House a couple of Sundays ago after complaining online about it we received a £30 credit. So we decided to try the junction in the Haymarket,.. excellent service, friendly staff, we chose the 1kg chicken wings which were cooked to perfection. The seating isn't the best could do with a bit of a makeover but overall venue.... Definitely will return.
Nice late lunch after xmas shopping, relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff
We went to this bar last night and ordered food at 18.30, we were told this would take half an hour even though there were few people eating. We explained we were going to a concert at 19.30 and were told this was not a problem. At 19.00 we asked where our food was to be told there was a problem in the kitchen and it would take 15 minutes, as it was too late to go elsewhere we said we would wait. The food arrived at 19.30 exactly an hour after the order was placed, we were refunded the cost but we ended up leaving half of it as we ran out of time. Terrible, do not eat there
I was very disappointed with my meal and for what I paid should of had better couldn't eat steak was full of gristle there was no onion rings or cauliflower cheese, the coleslaw tasted sour was a waste of money
I know we are going through a cost of living crisis but this place was absolutely freezing on my visit with friends for tea. So much so tht 3 of us had to put our coats on & sit with them fastened up wearing scarves also ... Very low staffed & what staff were on were rather unhelpful. We sat upstairs to eat our food which was a 35 min wait to be served. Fine since that showed it wasn't just microwaved & served in minutes. Food was nice & very hot when it came so to that. However a dessert was not brought with the coffee as ordered & had to be asked for after around 15 mins of waiting which defeats the point in coffee & cake really. Tables were really dirty & not a single member of staff ventured upstairs in the whole time we were there except for to bring a coffee & EVENTUALLY clear our table after being asked by one of our group & her telling us she was on her own . Toilets were absolutely DEPLORABLE wouldn't use them if my life depended on it... Some serious improvements needed in this place I'm afraid.
Staff are disinterested in serving you! Over priced! Upstairs was booked out and downstairs was full so couldn't have food on this time. Mind you there was loads of empty tables Upstairs but weren't allowed to sit there! Food is nice when you can get a table mind you!
Very disappointed with The Junction. Me and my friends reserved a table at The Junction and each paid a £10 deposit for the festive menu. However when we got there we were surprised to be met with confusion from the bar staff. There was no knowledge from the bar staff of our order stating that they actually didn’t serve a festive menu. We were told that we had to pre order our festive food but no where was this made clear to us. We appreciate that we had to pre-order and would happily have done so if it was made clear in the booking process, but it wasn’t. Additionally the manager who dealt with us was very rude and provided appalling customer service, not once did the manager apologise to us and left us feeling attacked and like we were at fault, which we were not. Only the manager was rude to us the rest of the bar staff were very polite. We decided to go to the goose down the road and had a lovely meal for a lot cheaper, would highly recommend. The place I wouldn’t recommend as I’ve previously stated above is The Junction.
