On 02/03/18 on the first Jummuah of March, I took my my declaration of faith with Sheikh Mohammed Patel. He guided me to say my shahada in front of the congregation before Salah.nnEver since that interaction with Sheikh, he took interest in how I was faring in my life in general. He was always warm and kind hearted towards me which is why I regularly prayed behind him. I noticed that he was very approachable and liked by everyone.nnAfter a few years of praying behind him, he used to ask if I had gotten married or not even in the car park before Salah. I had told him that I haven’t yet and he used to say “May Allah make things easy”. Since I came from from an Indian/Hindu background, we used to converse in Hindi. Once, he told me to meet him at 7pm after Madressa. So I met Sheikh in the masjid and he asked me of my family situation and etc. He mentioned to keep good relations with family irrespective of religion.nnAt the conclusion of our meeting, Sheikh mentioned he knows of a pious family in India whose daughter has completed an Alimiyyah course from a respected institution. Conversation with the family had begun with the approval of my now father in law. Sheikh Mohammed had recommended me to my father in law and from there on I went to India to get married.nnI cannot thank Sheikh Mohammed enough for his concern for me, I sincerely make dua for him and may Allah grant him the best of both worlds.nnGaurav
My first time in Auckland and New Zealand. Im happy with the environment here. Happier with the practice here too. Comfortable and safe to practice and go for Friday prayer. Keep the harmony intact. Congrats.
Masha Allah very active and hospitable masjid and brothers.
I love going here to pray when I'm in the area. It's big so it allows for many people to pray. And I've never found a problem with the atmosphere. It's always warm and inviting with the community always welcoming new faces.nI would recommend any time
