After years of road blockage caused by the upgrade work to the station, now the station is also accessible from the retail complex. It looks a lot more modern, not shabby the way it used to be.nnThe layout looks extremely similar to Green Square station.nnElevator access seems like only from the side near Mascot Tower, none from the retail shops side.nnThe toilets not always clean, but then again it's the same at pretty much every other station.nnThe weekend closure due to track work also doesn't seem to be not as often as it was in the past.
Mascot railway station is located on the Airport line, serving the Sydney suburb of Mascot. It is served by Sydney Trains T8 Airport & South line services. It's located 5 Kms from Sydney central station.
Mascot Train Station is a top transport hub that puts you perfectly in Suburban Mascot not too far from the airport.nnI took it there to make my way to a local hotel for a meeting and it was a top station.nnClean, heaps of trains, easy to get out of and easy to find yourself around when you're on the surface being an underground station.nnQuite accessible too. Great spot!
Mascot has become a critical train station for the city circle train line. It has very regular trains that run in both direction to the city and to the Macarthur or Revesby areas. It is also next to both airports and is easy to get to from Central Station.
Modern well equipped station with platform 1 to city & 2 to airport , huge cavernous space once you get below ground. Makes me feel like I'm all alone, theres no staff to find even @ rush-hour, Could of been a lot cleaner than it was, it's an all round good lil station. I'd rather get off here instead of domestic station because it's only a 5min walk to save you the 12:50 surcharge...
