I rang to see if the dog I liked the look of was male or female.  Apart from the young man I spoke to correcting me on calling the place a refuge not a pound he was very helpful.

We were looking to adopt a female rescued greyhoundnAt the time they did not know of any so we filled out paper work in advancenAbout 3 weeks later they rang to advise that a female had arrived and would we like to come and see hernAnd 2 weeks after that we took her homenThe staff are brilliant, caring peoplenThat was about 5 months agonI also did my own background check on her and found out 90% of where she came from, who had her, her proper name, her mum and dad, and her siblings, and who trained her and have actually spoke to her last ownernPs she loved my pillow

The animals are cared for extremely well. Thorough vet checks are done on all animals, pre screening is done on potential homes and animals are reasonably priced.

I recently adopted a beautiful cat from this refuge.  She was well looked after in the time she was there..  She settled in as soon as I welcomed her to my home.  The staff were very helpful and took her to a vet on my behalf for a necessary test.  Note: best to ring the refuge to see what animals are available as their website advised no cats, however there were 6 when I called and went in the next day.
