Nice pub, easy parking, friendly helpful staff. Amazing value all day $6.95 Parma on Tuesdays. Good venue highly recommended. Air conditioning works well and the coffees were pretty good too. Thanks. We'll be back

Table of 8 dined at Marine Hotel tonight.  This group dines regularly at Marine Hotel on Saturday evenings.

Food was about standard for a bistro.  

Bar staff was about standard for a bistro. 

Reason for the one star rating:

A complaint was put forward about a dessert not delivered to the table the response and care level of the staff was pretty average.  

This was very upsetting to members of the group & not the first time there had been an issue in regards to customer service on a Saturday evening.

One member of the party raised the conversation of:
1) non-delivery of dessert
2) the slowness of all mains being delivered to the table in particular the fish & chips being served a good 8 minutes after everyone else’s main had arrived, the bistro wasn’t under staffed or fully booked, & it was ordered at the same time as the others at the table. 

With the duty manager Amy.  Her initial response was defensive (fair enough), followed very quickly by being hostile, rude & argumentative. 

Customer service from her is a big fat ZERO!!!!  Didn’t care that a dessert had been forgotten.  Little understanding that this group respectfully waited for all meals (if ordered together as they were this evening) wait for all meals to arrive before eating.  Little respect for paying guests.

Cheap feeds, Tues parma & chips $5.95, Thurs fish & chips $5.95, lunch and dinner. Good value lunch menu weekdays, food is good.

Christmas lunch disaster. Service lamentably slow. Main course of turkey was a few slices of processed, tasteless material masquerading as meat. Additionally, it was cold when served due to the appalling service.
