The foyer was well presented and the check in staff were great. The view from our room was fantastic. However the room is a well overdue for a refurbishment. The carpets are heavily stained throughout the room and threading in some areas, the couch has so many black marks on it, there is mold on the ceiling above the shower and the bathroom door is peeling at the bottom. They supply you with a toaster, but no plates unless you want to use a cup saucer, you get 1 knife and 2 teaspoons. I like to walk around with no shoes on in my room, but my feet felt dirtier without shoes on, so I had to keep my shoes on. The decor is dated. Unfortunately as the carpark around the hotel is open to everyone, we had an individual park under our room at 6am and sit in his car and play music so loud, it would have been heard by several rooms. Even down to little things like whenever you went to the toilet both seats would stick together. Obviously the power cords to the bedside lamps are too long, so all they have done is wrap the cords around the lamps, instead of just getting them shortened.nThe staff throughout the hotel were awesome.nIt's such a shame that a well positioned hotel, would let their superior rooms get into such condition. I don't feel the money you pay represents good value, you are paying for location only. I would suggest senior staff stay in a room and judge it, specially in room 22
At first we were Greeted with a rude receptionist who was impolite.nSecondly, the bathroom was disgusting. The shower was surrounded with mold/gunk that clearly has not had a thorough clean. By reading others experiences i assume the issue had been addressed, however not attended too.nThe room itself was average. Average bed, Older t.v, small balcony.nHowever the most positive feedback would be the location. Walking distance to all the restaurants and beach.
Very disappointed with the cleanliness of the rooms. My carpet was filthy and there is no excuse for this! Even the tiled floors look like a dirty mop had cleaned them. Around lights dirty and walls and doors need wiping! The pool tiles need a really good scrub and this area could be tidied as well! Come on Bunbury Hotel! You can do better than this! I’m with a group of people who complained of the same issues! A shame as the location is so beautiful and you could make this something special.
Feels a bit like a motel but has large rooms and good service. The conference facilities were excellent. Our rooms had no external windows - just a big window looking into the indoor pool with a chlorine smell wafting in. The strong ocean winds made it harder to sleep. Still, the place has a lot of character from the adjacent lighthouse and seaside waves.
I wish I had read the reviews before staying in regards to cleanliness as I would have to agree. Rooms need a good clean!nIf staying here with young children, my daughter was able to unlock the door from the inside just by opening the door handle. Perfect height for adventurous toddlers!nMorning waitress staff at the restaurant went above and beyond and was the highlight of my stay.
