The hotel has a lovely setting inside but there is no Gym and no Hot tub and the pool is cold.nAll rooms have a centralised aircon system and we cooked at night. We complained and were given some fans.The sliding door to balcony was seized and impossible to open and close.The wifi inside the rooms isn't the best either.nBuffet breakfast was ok but at times items were empty and the hot food was cold.nWanted to use the laundry but wasn't working either and no instructions on how to use.nOn the positive it's central to everything and it has a nice bar
Not happy travellers. For the price we paid for our room which was $326 for a so called ocean view room 403. Firstly it was a bit of the ocean view not the full view that was booked through booking.com.nSecondly once we got to the room that’s when it started to go downhill fast. There was no attention to detail. Curtains smelt and hanging off broken hooks. You needed to be a body builder to open the sliding door as was very hard to slide open. There were 2 different types of gum stuck on the heating/cooler control panel which was disgustingly gross.nThe bed and pillows and carpet smelt sweaty and dank. The king bed was very uncomfortable and my partner and I woke with sore backs. The mattress was old and decrepit when I pulled back the covers.nWe went to book a table for dinner and breakfast and the phone in the room didn’t work at all, no dial tone just dead!.nAll night kept hearing a whoo noise like a mating pigeon coming from the room above which was highly annoying and the person next to us going outside through the night opening there sliding door which sounded like thunder.nSo we went down for dinner and ordered the fish n chips and when the waiter brought it to us a strong fishy smell was noted and the batter was very oily and dark, like the oil hadn’t been changed in a long time. It certainly was a weird piece of snapper and was not fresh hence the smell. After a disappointed dinner and by this stage getting quite annoyed we went to our room to watch the football but guess what we could not for the life of us scan the channel in or any channelnat that!. Whom ever owns this hotel really needs to spend some big money on major upgrades to really improve this hotel as it’s so so outdated and vastly needs improving.nAfter such a terrible night and bad dinner I will never be coming back and the price I paid was not worth it at all and was truly disappointed and disgusted.nThe only upside was the buffet breakfast and the friendly staff at the restaurant.nWhen we told the receptionist at the desk about our bad experience she seemed so disengaged and not interested.nI would give them no stars at all but I had to give a star to write my review. You also need to take best out of the name as this certainly was NOT!!!!!nOh and when we checked in we were asked to pay a $200 bond which was not stated anywhere through booking.com or from the verification email from the Lord Forrest, which I had better get my full amount back.nIf we hadn’t had a drink at the bar we would have asked for a refund and left and went home.
I WOULD RECOMMEND NOT STAYING HERE!nnI stayed here for work; breakfast was included, but I had to leave for work at 4 a.m. while breakfast doesn't start until 6 a.m. They didn't offer a grab-and-go breakfast option, which I found very poor considering there were many of us there for work.nnWe asked in reception but they wasn't very kind to try help as.nnThe pool water wasn't warm, even though their website advertises a pool and spa with heated water. There is no complimentary water.nnThe Wi-Fi connection was bad, I couldn't watch netflix.nnThe hotel has a good location and a comfortable room, but the price isn't justified by the service provided.
Paid very similar to Crown prices. No idea how this place can justify that but won't be near it again for following reasons. Stay clear.nn- Straight after check-in, Wife and 2 kids were met on Level 5 by a woman under serious influence of drugs. Got management then hung around where she was until Hotel Staff arrived. Lift technician got the blame for leaving it open........even though anyone can walk off the street and use the lift to go to whatever floor they want.n- Kids playing around the lobby on the Sunday morning. A guy came walking in from the street and straight across the ground floor past the restaurant carrying a box of empty beer bottles and other random stuff. Obv not a guest but didn't seem his first time cruising through.n- No safe parking. Random people hanging around the underground carpark.n- Tested the Pool and was too cold for the kids. Shower wasn't much better either morning.nnRooms were fine but feel we were robbed for what was paid.nnHad left a small item behind after we checked out and asked for it to be posted to Perth metro. Didn't expect to be asked for my bank card given the incident at check in. Prob a very small cost but a courtesy would have been appreciated. Asked to speak to the manager about it but no return call received.
Check-in was extremely slow due to their systems not working. While technical issues happen, the staff member handling our check-in was rude and unhelpful, making the system failure feel like it was somehow our problem rather than offering an apology or assistance.nnThe restaurant deserves credit — the food is genuinely amazing. Unfortunately, the service does not match the quality of the meals, which was disappointing.nnThe rooms are okay and fit for purpose but are extremely basic, old, and outdated. More concerning was the hot water, which ran yellow like rusted water — the hot water system clearly needs attention.nnThe biggest issue, however, was the environment. There were a number of undesirable guests staying at the hotel during our visit. I would absolutely not recommend bringing family here. There were people openly partying, multiple guests clearly under the influence of drugs, and one incident where a man on the top floor, shirtless, was yelling and screaming at people walking past — clearly drug affected. It felt unsafe and completely inappropriate for a family stay.nnGiven what we witnessed, I have contacted the Department of Health, as drug use including smoking substances in rooms poses a serious health risk to future guests.nnI will not be staying here again in the foreseeable future, and I strongly recommend others — especially families — stay elsewhere.
