Took my family to this lovely cafe for Sunday breakfast. Beautiful location across the Hoyts cinema building offering outdoor and indoor seating. Was greeted with lot of warmth and smile at the counter and the order was delivered perfectly. Enjoyed the big breakfast and pancakes sitting outdoors basking in the sun. Finished up the morning with a hot culpa as good as you can get. Highly recommended!
The Venue. In desperate need of a renovation, very tired and uncomfortable “bus like” chairs The Service. was a little slow, but the girls were friendly. The Food. Breakfast, tasted better than Bonjourno down the road, but the presentation could have been improved, was very slap - dash, with a “where ever it lands on the plate look” the chef could do with some lessons on food presentation!
When we first walked in, I wondered if we should leave as there wasn't a huge range of cakes. But I thought, lets give it a try. Well my New york Cheesecake was very nice, my mocca coffee couldve been hotter, but it was good, my friends thought their banana caramel cream pie was the best they've tasted in a long time. We checked out yhe meal menu & were impressed by what we saw, so much so we decided that we'll have a meal here next time were in Norwood.
The pesto pasta consisted mostly of olive oil as you can see in the picture. Barely any pesto flavour. New chef or management maybe? Subpar food. ambiance is okay.
Despite it's lack of atmosphere, the staff are friendly and the pizzas were awesome... Very tasty!
Not very well greeted, wasn't told to order @ the counter, so sat there for a while. Waiters were too busy talking to one another. When ordering meals the waiter didn't seem like he wanted to be there, rolled his eyes when we asked questions about a drink, didn't come over to the table & ask if our meals where ok until we were finished. Decor was very old, chairs ripped. Don't think I'll be going back there.
Very tidy and comfortable restaurant, with a relaxing ambience. Table and chairs out side on street level, inside comfortable dining with assorted seating. Carpeted floor, with very elegant leadlights through out. The fresh contemporary menu is good, from Starters, Burgers, Focaccia & Wraps, Pasta Risotto, Pizza through to a good selection of mains. The restaurant has a good wine list to accompany your choice of food. The coffee was very smooth. We found the service excellent, altogether a very relaxing lunch. Also free Wifi and news papers.
I genuinely loved the food here. The pasta I had was not the least bit oily which seems to be a trend these days and the other people I was with also agreed their plates were fantastic. Only downside I felt like the staff were quite tired today. Nothing terrible but not wow. Will go back again to see if the experience changes.
The food here is delicious. The entree pasta serves are generous; the salads also a generous serving. The kids enjoyed their nuggets & chips & milkshakes too. Service was excellent, staff were attentive & in good spirits. The only negative were the toilets which were pretty dirty & run down, they could definitely do with a good clean & freshening up.
Delicious meal portion sizes are massive. Friendly and fast staff. The decor is rustic, but I like it. I would have to say that a waitress wearing a gym top with her bra and half her breasts showing is not a great look for any business though. I would have given a 4-5star rating if this hadn't detracted from what was an amazing meal. Definitely need to talk to staff about professional work attire even in the heat.
