This place did not disappoint. The coffee was perfect, the kids enjoyed milkshakes and we all thoroughly enjoyed the Rhubarb cake slice with fresh cream. Hugely popular with many people wondering in to purchase pies, sausage rolls, meals or coffee. As a produce store, there is lots on offer from pre prepared meals, wine, chocolates and other yummy treats. This is clearly the popular joint on the street - and you can see why. The service was equally as good, friendly, genuine staff ... right down to the youngster who served us our order. Will def visit again.
A huge thank you for squeezing us in before the rush hour we didn’t have a booking. The food was very tasty like eating the most delicious freshly home-cooked food by your Nanna, drinks were well presented and all arrived together before our meal and the service was friendly. We also really enjoyed the wonderful selection of local produce and cannot wait to try the honey, fruit paste etc. We will be back again soon!
A very quick purchase of coffee and a sandwich before a bike race. The place is beautiful, lots of food, wine and everything local. Breakfast and Lunch is always on the menu when in town. Coffee is always good. Staff are great and friendly, and the place is clean, safe and Covid aware.
An Amazing store you must pass by when in town! They’ve got many local produce as tomato relish n many more. Great variety of Mansfield & beech worth local produce as honey, pastes & many more. Staff r extremely friendly, they catered my requirements as per my dietary needs. Brae was so helpful.
The tandoori chicken was delicious! Very flavorful and the baguette complemented it well. The chowder was surprisingly a clear rather than creamy soup, so that was a little lacking in my opinion.
Saw the high review score and decided to drop in for a post Buller feed at lunch time for a quick lunch. We had to get takeaway to eat in the undercover tent out the front of the restaurant. The ambience of the place is super nice and the menu has a lot of the variety. The staff straight to the point but friendly. We opted for the breakfast baguette and the pie of the day. While the pie was ok with some nice flavour throughout it lacked some crispiness with a damp bottom and a pretty bland salad the breakfast baguette was a bit of a miss unfortunately. This was a bit of a quantity over quality - Dried out bacon that was thrown on top of a baguette that was more of a long dinner roll consistency than a light and fluffy French baguette. Was I disappointed? No - I just felt like there were a few minor things they could adjust to make it a great meal rather than an average one.
Fabulous food and ambience. Great food wonderful staff. Even asked if we were warm enough. Even though they were very busy. Lots of yummy foods to buy to take home as well. Toilets. Covid safe. Asked for licence to make sure we weren't from.red zones. Can't wait to go back. The pie of the day, was to die for. Chicken, mushroom and bacon, delicious with a capital D.
Berries muffin is one of the must try! Tandoori chicken salad is amazing too. Highly recommended.
This little shop never ceases to amaze my wife and I. Where everywhere elae seem to struggle to be busy, this venue is always full of people. I think the fact that its always full and busy speaks for itself. The food is lovely, the staff are really friendly and always willing to serve with a smile. This is the best cafe food and local produce store in the whole area Kid-friendliness: These people are lovely and always make everyone feel special. especially families Parking: Parking is faitly easy in the main street Wheelchair accessibility: This shop is right on the main street with seating outside, so good access, plus there is only one small step into the main shop
