We enjoyed it here. It’s a lovely hipster standard cafe. They have delicious silky coffee here. It was brilliant and we could not fault it. There’s no all day breakfast but you can have eggs and all the extras. I had that and mine was superb as it was beautifully cooked and presented with no skimping. A final shout out to the lovely funky staff here. They helped create a very happy experience.
Dropped in after picking up something from Mansfield. What a nice place to dine in with generous sized pizzas. We were going to get two but saw one come to another table and decided to share it between the two of us. The beef brisket pizza is tasty and look forward to trying more of the menu next time! Staff are also friendly which always gives good vibes. Could easily be 5 stars but will need to come again and eat more from the menu to decide.
Really good, creamy, silky coffee and they have the best chocolate and Hazel nut cup cakes. I like the texture of the white chocolate cookies, thin and crispy but found it too sugary. With less sugar, it'd be delicious!
Beautiful place and the setting was nice but was ultimately let down by the food. Maybe our expectations were too high because of other guest's Google reviews but to be really honest the food we had from the lunch menu on May 2022 was a big let down, especially for the money cost of items. Very descriptive on the menu and beautiful on the plate but when it came to the flavour it was below average. The serving size of the hot chocolate was kinda embarrassing, even for a kids menu item. Wouldn't see us returning for that menu but might give another chance if we are passing back through and the menu has been changed. Most of the staff were pleasant but the lady that brought out our food made an odd face when we didn't hear understand her the first time which is kinda unpleasant. I'd honesty try a few of the other cafe's and restaurants around the corner, had a way better experience at other spots in town.
We enjoyed eating here this year and last, the food is always delicious! Highly recommend the mango chia bowl - every bite was delicious and my plate was emptied quickly.
Firstly, coffee was great here. Nothing to complain about. Probably the best in the area. But when it came to the food, slightly different story. At least on the day we visited. Lamb pizza with very dry lamb and also dough that isn’t all that cooked made for a very unpleasant meal. Margarita pizza had dough that wasn’t Cook thru as well. Then came to the beef short rib toastie/sandwich. It was so drench in butter, there was no taste of the beef short rib at all. Not even a little bit. All you could taste was butter, butter from all side of the bread/toast, even the pickle was pickled in butter according to the menu. And when asked to removed the pickle as I don’t usually like pickles, the waitress said it would brighten up the taste of the sandwich. Lol. I find it to only add to the butter overload or butter explosion in your mouth when you bite into it. And the worst part of it all, their display case had amazing looking sandwich and wraps but we weren’t allowed to order them if we sat in. My advise, grab a wrap and a coffee to go if you visit and you’ll have a much more enjoyable visit.
"I wish this place was in Melbourne." Normally when you travel into regional Aust, you can expect coffee that tastes like its come from a machine that hasn't been cleaned in four years and meals that somehow are tasteless, even though they contain more butter and salt than a butter factory. However, the Coffee Merchant in Mansfield is AMAZING. Not only have you got delish coffee roasted in house from the look of it but the food is phenomenal. The Carbonara was so good, and I should be ashamed to admit this but I'm not, I literally ate the sauce like it was a damn soup at the end. Wait times were a bit long, but well worth it.
If you are in town, must try this place 1. Coffee is great 2. Food and service was 10/10 We tried Tiramisu waffle and Avocado stack with hash brown. Very delicious food.
Excellent coffee shop and cafe. Coffee is excellent. Portions were extreme. Service was quite good when you consider the place was full of patrons. The large windows mean you can watch the world pass by. Parking is terrible in Mansfield. But the walk is worth the visit.
I searched for good coffee in Mansfield, landed here. Happy to report that the coffee is certainly up to standard. But the real happy surprise for us was the food. Upon ordering the food may seem a little on the pricey side, but wait until being served to make the judgement. We had a table of five meals, all were high quality with generous portion sizes. We were all pleasantly surprised with the flavour and presentation. I highly recommend a stop here.
