Visiting Tasmania won’t be complete without trying this very nice restaurant. We ordered their seafood marinara and another chicken dish as our mains. It was so good and served so fresh! The dessert was also a very nice treat!

Pretty good Italian restaurant, though no kids or smaller meal option, so managed to share mains and sides as the kids option. Tiramisu was a bit strong in flavour for my liking, but all the mains were excellent.Food: 4/5

Nice Italian restaurant. The owner is from Abruzzo! Food is great, and portion I must say are super fare. Not many choices for desserts. Staff friendly and attentive :

For an Italian Restraunt that doesn't make pizza was a disappointment. The food was bland and boring. The staff were left to their own device to pick and choose which customers to service. They definitely need a strong manager who ensured the customers were being looked and given good quality customer service. We waited for an hour and a half for our food. Hence the rating results

We had lunch here and it was so good we returned for dinner as well. Some of the best Italian food you will eat. Don't pass this place up. Service and food are top notch.

Maldini was a wonderful dining experience, right on the Salamanca esplanade. Our meals were predominantly seafood and cooked to perfection. Very impressed by the service from all staff. The dining area inside was quite cramped when we visited but due to the cold weather we were grateful they fit us in. The atmosphere was fun, loud and hard to leave after buying a bottle of their Cabernet Merlot wine.

Scrumptious lunch at Maldinis Monday afternoon. My partner chose the seafood broth comprising many superbly cooked types of seafood, including scallops, octopus, squid, mussels, prawns and fish. He loved it and he is usually a red meat eater. I chose the Ocean trout with filo wrapped asparagus and char-grilled squash. Excellent service on a lovely summer's day.

We ordered the antipasti and it was absolutely disappointing. The tiny pieces of quail were so dried up they were inedible. The rocket was soggy, and the slices of meat were slapped on top of the rocket, the pesto and bread tasted like it was from Coles. Some authentic Italian creativity, using some quality ingredients wouldn’t have gone astray. The staff member was uninterested in serving us, practically dropping our glasses in front of us as well. From a local my Mum and myself on holidays I can say we were really disappointed and won’t be coming back again. We gave feedback as they asked how everything was and they seemed uninterested in that also.

YUM YUM YUM  I dined there with some work friends just before Xmas and there was not a seat free in the venue  We had a table outside and the venue provided heating and it was a reasonable evening in Hobart so felt comfortable.  The seating was also nicely spaced and the location of the venue is in Salamanca giving off a exciting Christmas vibe as it is a perfect location for outside dining and a fun night with friends  Inside however the seating is extremely close and as every seat was full it was rather noisy.  Walking through to the rest rooms it appeared the vibe was more of a hustle and bustle as I weaved past the tables to reach the back of the restaurant, but having not dined in there Im just guessing the atmosphere  Now lets talk about the food, unfortunately I was having too much fun to capture the menu, but I had not dined there before and thought... oh yeah just another pasta dish, but boy I was wrong  The meals were full of flavour , fresh produce and not sure if they make their own pasta but it certainly tasted like they had The menu was extensive but we all just chose a main meal  I cant remember the name of my order , oops , Xmas fun but it was a Chicken and mushroom pasta and I asked if I could change the chicken to prawns, which was no problem at all from their end.  It was probably one of the nicest pasta dishes I have ever eaten, the mushroom flavour was divine and there was just the right amount of sauce v's pasta, topped with heaps of juicy tasty prawns. Everyone at the table comments were on how much they enjoyed their meal, which says that meals are consistently good  At one stage it started to sprinkle with rain  and even though we were under an umbrella we were getting slightly wet  Upon letting the staff know they quickly moved our table to  a spot that was out of the weather, with no fuss  The service was great and they allowed us to pay for each of our meals making it easy to vacate with no fuss, so we left feeling very relaxed  Enjoyed the meal , service and atmosphere wish I could dine there seven days a week
