Visited for the first time today with many months anticipation and y’all did NOT let me down!! So many treats to choose from, and picnic mats you can borrow to sit in the park across the street Hoping to make this spot part of my weekly routine so I can try everything!
You have heard of those people who find religion later in life? Albeit they may be incarcerated when the epiphany happens… but it’s a common occurrence. My visit to Made With Love this weekend was on par with such a revelation. A quick disclaimer: I am not a vegan. If you told me I would be slamming a “meat” pie that was purely plant-based and I would have an existential crisis after doing so before I came here, I would have found this farcical. I have NEVER tasted anything more divine. This whoever your god is is their work, and by some divine alignment between the constellations and my tastebuds, I can honestly say I feel utterly converted.nnThe staff were fantastic, willing to answer any of my queries; being a foreigner in the vegan world I felt welcomed wholeheartedly.nnAs a coffee aficionado, from my first sip I knew this was not your ritual morning caffeination… it was the effect of masterfully producing an elixir that was derived from freshly ground quality coffee beans, served at the perfect temperature, and creamy oat milk which, as a non-vegan, was impossible to differentiate from dairy.nnThe food. I could write about it for another thousand words. Let’s just say as well as the baked ham and cheese croissant I ate at the venue, I couldn’t resist bringing home some pies to try, and maybe a few donuts for my kids too… I live in NSW so I had to make the most of this opportunity and I DON’T KNOW HOW TO BEGIN DESCRIBING THE PIES. I think the most important thing is that I am honest. I tried the ‘’meat” and “cheese” pie, and was a little nervous. I have heard people talk about vegan cheese… about how it’s one thing that is impossible to be substituted with a plant-based product without sacrificing flavour, texture, taste etc etc … This pie was the epitome of a humble pie. What I had heard was absolute nonsense. It was the best pie I have eaten in my entire life.nnI can’t praise this place enough.nn12/10nnI will be back
Delicious pastry! I had the almond croissant, it was amazing! Then went back for a brownie, so decadent!nWonderful friendly service too.nI’ll be going back with my friends.
Once you have sausage rolls from Made With Love, you’ll never be able to eat any others. I grabbed some for my husband and his friends who all eat meat and they are obsessed with them. The service is always friendly and efficient. It has such a warm inviting atmosphere. I definitely recommend giving it a go whether you are a vegan or not.
A vegans dream. We had the vegemite scroll, custard tart, meat pie and macadamia iced coffee. Everything was delicious!
