Story

The Lushington name stems from my maiden name. Lushington is a family name that dates back to the 1700’s. The Lushington lineage includes members of the clergy, barons and parliamentarians. The families spread across the globe, many settling in America, and now in New Plymouth. The Lushington name has an elaborate coat of arms, displaying aspiration to sophistication and refinement, much like the Lushington Jackets themselves. I incorporate these characteristics along with my own flair and creativity to define the Lushington style. Not for those who want to blend into the crowd, a Lushington Jacket will make a statement wherever you go. So when you are looking to add an edge to your style, add a Lushington Jacket to your outfit.

As a New Plymouth Designer I craft each jacket at my New Plymouth studio. No two jackets are exactly the same, when you buy Lushington you are buying a uniquely crafted garment. Lushington Jackets provide the tradition of a beautifully tailored jacket shaped to fit the contours of women and then styled with beautiful linings, the feature `Lushington Ring’ and individual contour drawings, sewn on the back of the jacket, creating a jacket that not only shows attention to detail but continues to excite and define the uniqueness of a Lushington Jacket. Each Lushington Jacket is named from traditional English names, strong names that make a statement, much like the jackets themselves.
