I was convinced I would be going on a very strict "wedding diet" 2 years out from my wedding as I could never picture myself in a dress I really loved myself in. This feeling was enforced venturing out to various bridal stores - trying on beautiful dresses that didn't seem to do anything for me. I could recognise the beauty of the dress, without myself feeling beautiful in it. This is all changed when I went to Lush Curve Bridal; the most beautiful wedding shop and a completely game changer for me in how I felt about my upcoming wedding. From start to finish, Hannah and the team made me feel wonderful and relaxed. They welcomed my Mum & I in with open arms and allowed us to quietly peruse the different gowns. I chose a few out and the first one I tried I totally loved, finally trying on a bridal gown that felt like it actually suited me. I looked totally bridal! I didn't want to take it off, but reluctantly tried on a another - which ended up being "the one". It was a dress that was made for me. I was able to add sleeves, with various styles available, and this customisation was what made this dress perfect - and unique! The whole experience was amazing, and the women that work here are uniquely kind and knowledgeable. I can't thank them enough. You are helping so many women feel amazing - thank you! x
I had put off shopping for a wedding dress as long as possible as I really worried about not being able to try a dress that would fit and my confidence was really low. Then a friend of mine shared a photo of someone in a Lush Cruve Bridal dress and I looked on their Instagram. Hannah's body positivity videos and messages immediately made me feel more comfortable and I knew I had to visit Lush Curve Bridal. I wasn't sure what style would suit me but Hannah immediately selected two dresses which I loved, she also made me feel so special and beautiful, I wondered why I'd put it off for so long! I was really torn between the two dresses and Hannah gave me some great options to have parts from both in a custom dress, in the end I decided to go for one without adjustments but I really appreciate the flexibility. I'd highly recommend Lush Curve Bridal and Hannah to anyone on the hunt for their perfect dress, but in particular if you're a little worried to start your search, find Hannah and you won't look back!!
Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. I was made to feel like a princess which is something I never thought I would feel like. As a plus size bride I was scared about trying on dresses and looking in the mirror at myself but I can honestly say that those fears left as soon as I stepped in the door at Lush Curve. Hannah and the team were phenomenal, put me at ease and made the whole experience out of this world. I cannot say enough good things about the whole day. Any plus size brides looking for a body positive, experienced and magical bridal shopping experience MUST check out Lush Curve!!!!
Lush Curve is a Bridal shop where dreams are made. I've dreamed of my big day, and my wonderful white dress since being a child, however my curves made me anxious about going to try them on and them not fitting. We booked our wedding date in February and it wasn't till September that I gained the courage to just go do it. I found Lush Curve via instagram and followed them for months before booking. Their instagram gave me such an impression of loving your body and enjoying the whole moment of wedding dress shopping. This impression was not wrong, it's in this cute little business park and Hannah & team have designed the most gorgeous enchanted woodland inside. I really had the best few hours - I'm a size 24/26, every dress fitted, Hannah pulled & clipped me in at all the right places that every dress felt and fitted magically. Hannah came in to the changing room and helped me get into every dress whilst my Mum & Maid of Honour chatted and drank bubbles waiting apprehensively for me to appear by Hannah pulling back the big curtain. Normally letting someone see that much of my body is a big no, but I felt instantly comfortable in her friendly/bubbly presence. Don't hesitate, you absolutely have to visit, we travelled 1 hour but I would travel days for this gorgeous place! Saying yes to the dress in Lush Curve was a memory I will never forget.
If you’re looking for a wedding dress, do yourself a favour and go to Lush Curve. The experience as soon as you step in the door is so warm and inviting, with a whimsical interior which made it really fun! It’s so nice that the appointment is exclusive for you, it made me feel so special and comfortable. I went for the Studio Levana gowns, they had a huge selection of dresses in different sizes. It felt really nice knowing that there would be sample dresses that would fit me, as this was not the experience I had in other “curve” bridal shops. Hannah was amazing and so fun to chat with, super passionate about helping me find the right dress and great energy. It was truly the best experience and i was so happy to say YES to my dress! I can’t wait to wear it later this year and so happy I found Lush Curve.
What an incredible experience! As a very size 26/28~ plus size bride my biggest wedding anxiety was dress shopping, I assumed I'd likely have to get something online, have not-good experiences at straight-sized places or pay a fortune to have a dress made. Then I walked into Lush and Hannah made me feel so comfortable immediately! They have so many beautiful dresses and Hannah is an angel, she made sure I was comfortable and feeling my best - also didnt have to get nude infront of anyone, which is ideal. I could try every dress I wanted and they really fit, they also are similarly priced to most wedding dresses, no fat-tax, yay! The place is also stunning btw. My indecisive self needed two appointments to give me time to think and plan what I want which was so helpful and we ordered my perfect dress with a few tweaks you can create a bespoke dress by drawing things from each dress you like btw! and I'm so excited to see and try on my dress at the start of 2023. Thank you for such a lovely experience, I'd really reccomend this pleace to every plus size bride!
Having been quite anxious about wedding dress shopping as a plus size bride, I was honestly so blown away by the incredible experience at Lush Curve. Firstly the boutique is truly magical...as well as loads of gorgeous dresses to see, the interior design is to die for. From the comfy sofa and exposed brick to the vines wrapped around the beams, all combine to create the perfect dress shopping environment. Most importantly, Hannah is incredible. I instantly felt at home having been invited to swap our shoes for slippers, and her knowledge and relaxed demeanour helped me to really enjoy the experience from start to finish. There were so many dresses to try on all of which fit which was a big thing for me and Hannah gave honest but kind advice on all of those I tried on. I would 100% recommend to any plus size brides who are nervous of dress shopping - you won't regret it!
I came to Lush Curve Bridal super anxious about fitting in a gown let alone ever liking a wedding gown on me. From the moment we walked in Hannah made me feel so comfortable and welcome. My mum and I had a fab time picking dresses and trying accessories to put with them. Not only were the dresses beautiful, the options for customising them were incredible and they made my figure look awesome! While I didn't end up getting my dress from Lush I still cannot recommend Hannah and her shop any more. The whole experience totally changed my attitude to dress shopping and I think every plus size bride should experience little bit of Lush! Thank you Hannah you were like my own fairy godmother.
Start to finish, such an amazing experience. So happy I met them at a wedding expo. Hannah is so accommodating, friendly and kind. She made me feel so comfortable and good about myself. Together we put together a combination that made my dream wedding dress. I can’t recommend another place for your wedding dress more!
If you’re considering booking with Lush & looking at the reviews for a vibe check… DO IT. It’s worth the travel if needed as I guarantee you won’t find anywhere as good in the UK! I haven’t even got my dress yet but Hannah has been an absolute mega babe so far! She’s made the whole experience so far fun & stress free! You don’t feel like a plus size bride who is having to make do with whatever fits. When you arrive Hannah doesn’t even ask you your size - she just gets you options she knows will fit you well. You’ll feel as much of the centre of attention as you want to be, with friends and family being made to feel massively welcome too. Also with being gay & having two brides we were nervous about how we’d be received at a bridal shop and this was such a none issue, Hannah was just happy to have two of us!! Plus the venue is UNREAL - she’s done an amazing job & all the little touches are *chefs kiss* Hannah should be proud of the business she’s created and I bet I leave a second 5 star review when my dress arrives!
