Lune Croissanterie truly lives up to the hype! We waited around 10 minutes in line at about 10am, which felt totally reasonable given the buzz around this place. The pastries were exceptional — you can tell every layer of that croissant is crafted with real care and precision. It was a great overall experience and absolutely worth the wait. The one downside was seating — with the crowd flow staying strong throughout, it was tough to find a spot since not many people were clearing out. If you're planning a visit, maybe aim for a takeaway option or be prepared to wait a bit longer for a table. Still, the quality of the pastries more than makes up for it. Highly recommend for any croissant lover visiting Melbourne CBD!

Lune Croissanterie definitely lived up to the hype.nnThe croissants were absolutely incredible — beautifully crisp and flaky on the outside, while still buttery and soft inside. You can really taste the quality and care that goes into making them.nnThe coffee was great too, and the whole experience was worth the visit. We tried a few different pastries and honestly had a hard time choosing a favourite because they were all so good.nnDefinitely a must-visit when in Melbourne, especially if you love pastries and coffee. Would happily come back again!
If you're looking for some of the best pastries in Melbourne, Lune absolutely lives up to the hype. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by a modern, industrial-style space that feels both welcoming and premium. Watching the bakers at work adds to the experience and showcases the craftsmanship behind every pastry.nnWe tried the almond croissant and the chocolate almond pastry, and both were exceptional. The layers were beautifully flaky and crisp, with that perfect buttery texture that shatters with every bite. The almond croissant was generously topped with toasted almonds and just the right amount of sweetness, while the chocolate almond pastry was rich, indulgent, and packed with flavour without being overly sweet.nnPaired with a smooth, well-made coffee, it made for the perfect morning treat. Every detail—from the presentation to the quality of ingredients—reflects the care and precision that Lune is famous for.nnYes, there can be a queue, but after tasting these pastries, it's easy to understand why people keep coming back. The quality is consistently outstanding, and the entire experience feels special from start to finish.nnHighly recommended for anyone who appreciates world-class pastries, excellent coffee, and a bakery experience that truly stands out. Can't wait to return and try more from the menu!
The overall experience was okay I’d say. I don’t think it’s worth all the hype for sure, and if you want a really amazing experience I probably wouldn’t recommend this place.nnThere is a line that we waited around 10 or so minutes to order, and the line itself isn’t an issue but I think the lack of menus make it a very rushed process when you get to the counter as there is a line behind you. I recommend this place add some menus to pass around in the line as well as a large drinks menu that can be seen upon entering the cafe and not on the side. I would also recommend they make a menu that has information about the different pastries that they offer, because this will allow for each customer to get a really good grasp on what is being offered and are able to choose the perfect pastries that they want to try most likely by the time they get to the front counter.nnAdditionally, I think that having no seats is definitely a choice and helps in rushing people outside and allowing more people a place to try their pastries, however, unfortunately I will dock a few points as it takes away from the experience as a whole.nnThe customer service was pretty good overall, the lady taking our order gave us some recommendations for what pastry we should try, and if I’m being quite honest I don’t even remember the name of the pastries that we got.nnPastry w/ chocolate and custard — 7.5/10nThe filling was divine but the actual crust of the pastry was very soft and definitely jot what I was expecting. I still would recommend because that filling was sooo good! Would just recommend that the pastry is more crispy and if it was warm wow it would’ve been a 10/10.nnCaramelised pastry — 7.8/10nA lot more crunchy than the last pastry and is definitely on the sweeter side. I also really enjoyed this and I think this would go so well with a cup of coffee to cut through the sweetness.nnMatcha — 7.5/10nThe matcha is okay, not the best I’ve had but the amount you get is pretty good but I think if you like coffee you should get a coffee instead.
Overpriced A$12.5 for an almond croissant!!, but good.nnThe croissants were beautiful and they did taste good, but they were not worth the price. I think you can get similar quality croissants, maybe less aesthetic, for half the price which would taste just as good.nnThe croissanterie is very busy, and it has that rush you out feeling. No comfortable seating and an Italian espresso style standing bar which aims to push you out quickly. That’s fine in Italy for a €1 espresso on your morning walk, but not fine when you’re spending A$12.5 on one croissant! Add a coffee and your little 5 minute snack break is costing as much as a full lunch. They should cater to the luxury experience they are charging for with proper seating to enjoy your overpriced food.
