In Melbourne for a few days and see a long line every time I pass by. Finally checked it out today… waited in line for about 40 minutes.nnNice decoration and vibe upon entry. Told the staff this is our first time here, and he is very friendly and kindly explained to us some of the most popular options. We went with the plain croissant, as we feel simple is the best option. After we order, we found a spot to stand next to the counter, and our croissant is delivered to us within 5 minutes.nnCroissant itself is decent. Nothing to write home about. Honestly not sure why there is such hype for this. It’s pricey and time consuming for a normal croissant. I didn’t find it anything more nor anything less.nnOverall, I suppose it’s worth a try maybe for the other choices they have available. But as for me, I tried it, I’m good, and no need to come back!
Firstly, the croissants, they're delicious. However, I feel it still does not justify the price of it. My friends and I had to wait in line for about 20 minutes. There are no seats so everyone is basically standing and making a mess eating croissants. The service was perfect! Staff was really friendly. If you want a place that serves really good pastries and you're willing to spend a little, this is the spot.
Was given a tip that Lune was a must visit for their fantastic croissants while in Melbourne. We stopped by around 8:30am and saw one of the few places in Melbourne you need to wait in line because of the demand. Even with the temp at 1C.nnWe ordered plain, chocolate and a cinnamon and they were all great, worth the wait and the staff was very friendly. There was not a lot of seating, but worth the wait if you want to grab and go.nI also purchased the cookbook and am excited to try my hand at my own croissants when I get home. A must visit if in Melbourne!
Been wanting to visit the place for a while and finally made the trip with my family to try the famous Melbourne croissant.nnLuckily the wait was not long only 10 minutes for our turn. I have heard before that sometimes you are unlucky when they are sold out for the day. So pretty good day for us all the flavors were available. We ordered the traditional plan croissant, almond, everything cream cheese and thyme croissant, lemon curd, and cinnamon. We also order a flat white, cappuccino and hot chocolate.nnLune’s croissant did not fail us, all the flavors were amazing, the crunch of the croissant was musical and the coffee was really good.nnI recommend this place if you are craving for a tasty flavorful croissant while in the city.
It’s a great little bakery but it’s definitely way overpriced. I came after 2:30pm and the wait was better than I anticipated 7 mins. Caught them during their quiet period.nnFor me their best offering is the almond croissant. It’s loaded with almonds and best eaten fresh to get that crunchy bite.nnBut the prices are crazy. $7.10 for the basic croissant, $11.70 for the almond version. Overpriced is an understatement. Worth checking out if you’re willing to wait.
