Really enjoyed Luna Bonita. Service was attentive and the food outstanding. This is better than the usual Mexican restaurants around with some great dishes and equally excellent Cocktails, particularly the Mezcal Lime Margarita.Recommended dishesGuacamole with Corn Chips and Hot Sauces, Tuna Sashimi
This is seriously delicious Mexican! The chips are crunchy, the guacamole is well seasoned and tangy, and the nachoes with chilli con carne was excellent. The churros was also one of the best I have tasted. Service was excellent and the waiters and waitresses were really helpful and friendly! Definitely highly recommend.
This place is the reason I would drive back from Sydney to Port just to enjoy the Mexican delicacies and the wines. Carlos is the best mexican singer in town. Kudos senior
First and foremost this venue has the Best Nachos I have ever tasted. As an example I have tried nachos from 4 continents. And specifically have Mexican as a staple in my diet and favourite foods. The complexity in layers of flavour, the portion size and the actual taste is amazing beyond what I could have possibly hoped. I have had to come back 2 nights in a row just to compare and the meal was the same. Exceptional in every aspect. I could not recommend highly enough
First and foremost, the warm and attentive service from Levi made us feel welcome from the very beginning. My french martini hit the spot after a long drive up from Nelson Bay. Corn ribs entree had a nice level of heat and my dining companions enjoyed their fish tacos and nachos while I was loving my prawn quesadilla. The care and attention paid to the customers was very evident and I absolutely loved the mural and artwork, the amazing collection of dia delos muertos figurines and other artwork. Just amazing! Fabulous ambiance. Loved it
Food and service were phenomenal. Carlos and team do a fantastic job of bringing the authentic Mexican experience to the central coastal town of Port Macquarie. Stumbled across this by accident during a stop over. Now I’m planning the next time I will travel 6 hours to eat here again. Within the first bite I was in love, and we proceeded to order half the menu as good Mexican is so hard to come by in Australia. I hope the locals know what a gem they have in their great town!
We were visiting from Sydney and happen to stop at this lovely restaurant. The food was awesome - possibly one of the best Mexican restaurant which I’ve been to in recent time, they just lost one star from me as we had to wait exactly 1hr for the order to be served. Kids were starving.. The staff was nice and friendly but quicker service would have made our experience definitely a much better one.
We celebrated a family birthday and we had the best time. The food is amazing. Authentic Mexican delicious food. Service is outstanding and restaurant has a great vibe and location is fantastic. We will definitely recommend it and will be back soon.
Some of the best Mexican food we’ve had outside of Mexico. Generous portions, authentic options and incredible flavours. Definitely recommend the tuna tostadas. Full table service was excellent. We’ll be back.
Food was mouthwatering, a true testament the amazing culture of Mexico. A wonderful restaurant. The shining top of the experience were the dishes. They were unbelievably clean! Whoever is washing these dishes deserves a raise.
