Dined in tonight as we have done many times in the past. The service tonight was extremely slow. The Resturant very close to empty. It took well over an hour to get our main meals. The kids meals were the last to hit the table these were requested to come with the entrees. When the food did arrive, it was terrible. The manager dodged us completely, did not want to take ownership at all. The worst Chinese food I’ve had in a long time! I would strongly suggest to go somewhere else.
Lotus has some reasonable good quality chinese food depending on the dishes. Curry Puffs were ok with a decent amount of mince inside. The malay clay pot was so so. Special fried rice was way too dry but the saviour of the night was the sweet and sour pork which was great! Service was alright. Serving size was large.
Always nice coming to Lotus. Food is incredible. Staff are wonderful and the service is great. Nice outlook if you can grab a seat near the window, view of lighthouse beach and surrounds. Kid-friendliness: No problem they cater for children. Only too happy to accommodate. Parking: Parking in side road otherwise park in the little shopping car park.
Food was terrible. Because we were a large group we were made to wait till everyone else had their orders before ours came. Overcooked, dry and most of it inedible. Manager was very rude also. Most people in our group were also not well in the stomach the morning after.
What a rip-off! Read good reviews and took my family of 11 for dinner . Ordered the BANQUET for $40 pp and was so disappointed ! I don’t know how they work out their portions but only enough for half our family . Just order plates separately! Other tables that came in 15mins after us got their meals before we did and I had to ask the waitress to check on our order as it was getting rediculous . Maybe they have their regulars to cater to first but was very disappointed. Our bill was almost $600 and had a word with the manager whip blamed her staff and the fact it was Easter . Do not recommend this place . OVER-RATED! And food wasn’t even that great . Go elsewhere ..

Booked late on Saturday arvo got a table for 4 at 7pm arrived and the restaurant was packed. We were seated and served within 20 minutes. Thought we were in for a long wait.The food was delicious and a good portion.and to top off they gave us a small fruit plate each.Have not been to this place for about 6 years but will be back 4 sure
Dim sims were so yummy. Service was very friendly and affable. Fried rice a bit dry. Chicken with spring onions was OK but the pieces of chicken were far too big for easy eating. Will stay with the local Chinese in Waniora.
Food is very tasty and the owners are very accommodating and friendly. Would definitely recommend if you are visiting or living in Port Macquarie. Removed the bitter taste I had from another experience at a different restaurant in Port. Thanks for the lovely meal and the lovely smiles. The pork spare ribs are unique to this place and is especially delicious.
Do you want food poisoning. Go if your game. Went friday night had 3 meals , sweetie corn chicken soup, prawn omelette, Mongolian lamb. The prawns had no flavor must been frozen were off. Did tell them. The lamb taste like barbeque, tomato sause, only had 2 bits,, , tell them can't eat it. Still want us pay form all the food. Went home to Friend House she & i went to bathroom throw up. 2 days now with food poisoning Really upset over them not real care i complain about the food. Never go back.
