Good food, decent portions and reasonable prices, great people

Stunning food and great service. A+ balcony view!

Great experience for NYE. Booked a table with a view and got a super great view. Food and drinks were yummy and timely. Our waitress Ellie made the night even better with her bright and bubbly service!

Friendly and helpful staff. Yummy over sized meals at great prices. One low point was the halogen light above our table kept flicking on and off. I'd have preferred the light not be there at all.

Specifically made a reservation so we would have a table, arrived to find that they never held a table and had to wait behind three other families. So much for good service, food was good at least.

Many thanks to Sam, Louise and Helena for being wonderful hosts and accommodating our girls' football team and families at such a busy time of the year. This is our third year in a row at Lone Star, the food and service has always been good. Louise has the best memory when it comes to orders too!

Lone star is an all time favourite for the family and the store in Taupo did the name proud. Generous portions and the ribs were superb. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and friendly service. If you have a burning hunger... Worth a try!
