Wow we’re so glad we decided to stop by on our way back from the Moeraki boulders. Delicious fish and chips, and the owner is really sweet and friendly too. We got the battered blue cod, batter was thin and fluffy, fish was tender and cooked to perfection. Beer battered chips were awesome too with the right amount of crunch. Definitely worth the stop!
Fish and chips kinda items are good there. But I would not recommend coffee from there as it is just that self service coffee machine made coffee is the option. Better to try a cafe around if for coffee unless u enjoy machine made. Outdoor seating available if u r dining there. It is just by the main road. Parking: Allocated parking slots around. But still on street parking was available too.
Wow best fish I have ever had the fish was big decent size and the batter is just perfect staff are so kind. The other day we went we got a free small fish chucked in another time got a free can. Amazing shop, beautiful chips. definitely cheep prices.
Tried the battered blue cod fish. Was fresh and nice. Chips were cooked well and not overdone. Bit greasy but ok. Friendly and helpful staff. Located on the main highway. Popular stop.
The blue cod is beautiful but sometimes the paua patties hav had spots of flour under the batter. The man behind the counter was somewhat checky saying he'd be happy depending on how much money we spentFood: 4/5
Seriously the best fish and chips ever. Battered or Crumbed fish. The battered mussels are large and absolutely amazing. The Blue Cod and Elephant Fish is to die for. I got 1 scoop chips and should have just got half a scoop. Will be a go to when I head South again. The guy whom served us was damn good bloke!

the food was ok -expensive sliver of cod for $14 but the kicker was when I asked for a paper bag to take my left over chips home, the guy said NO. He actually said they cost him 5c each and no I could not have one even though I had just spent $32 in this place. This must be the way he treats tourists. Launched into how the vaccine had nearly killed him and then an attack out of nowhere of PM Ardern. Crazy, nasty piece of works. A place to be avoided. I'd put no stars but that wasn't an option.
Extremely impressed at the fast, efficient and friendly service. It was very busy being Easter Monday and we expected a long wait but to our surprise they were sending the orders out as quick as they were receiving them. So well done guys And the fish and chips were delicious!!! We got 2 elephant fish and ½ scoop of chips for under $15!!! Now that is excellent!!! The chips were all perfect with no blemishes or discoloration and we're a nice size. Overall I would highly recommend stopping off for a feed. It's on the main highway so not out of your way, affordable with plenty of parking available. The beach just down the side road is a great place to eat your fish and chips
