Nice local establishment. Went on a special day Mother Day which was spoilt by poor planning and very obvious under staffing. There were lengthy waits to place drink orders, meal orders and to actually getting the food. The staff were friendly, polite and apologetic. They did provide a free bowl of chips, which due to the wait waa attached by the table like a flock of seagulls @ fishing boat harbour. But the place didn't seem that busy several empty tables? The food was nice good flavour but unfortunately didn't make up for the wait. Access was good. And ample free parking.
A young man by the name of Evan gave my family the most wonderful of service, his recommendation of the crab spaghetti was brilliant. Wonderful service by a wonderful restaurant!
Nice ambience and good food. We shared some pizza, pasta and a steak and all the food was enjoyable.
He reminds me of myself when I was young buck. He is the best ever. The most brutal and vicious, and most ruthless champion there's ever been. What a spectacular young boy about to become man. I believe this young salesmen goes by the name, evvvan.
I come to the local a fair bit and last night booked for my girlfriend's Birthday. The pizza and service was amazing as usual All staff were great. Massive kudos to the young lad who agreed to put some candles on the dessert and sing happy birthday on his own! PS. Bread and butter pudding needs to be a permanent fixture on the menu. Rather disappointed at the lack of attention we received at dinner last Friday evening. I thought the maître de was completely off hand and seemed uninterested in providing any kind of service. That could have been because he was engrossed in getting things ready for the dinner service. Not an excuse. Thank goodness the young man who waited on us was helpful and professional. The food was very good and made up for the initial lack of service on our arrival. I will go again and hopefully service will be better.
Amazing food, fantastic service and lovely atmosphere... This place has it all! All six of us agreed we would definitely come back... I would be happy to work my way through the entire menu - so yummy. We all shared a range of the smalls to start, the olives were so beautiful even the non-olive eaters said they were delicious! Lots of pizza for the table and every one of them was outstanding. Thanks guys, keep putting the love in your food!!
One man show running the joint. Seemed friendly enough mind you. But as a result, had to wait 50mins for a pizza and salad even though there were only 5 tables of people. We're told 'thought we were ok to wait for our food"... Got an oily cheese pizza with a base that had a slime texture. Then decided to box it up for me and put his fingers all over my pizza. Not usually one to write a review, but was not impressed at all. Would not recommend. Shame.
Celebrated my birthday breakfast at The Local on Waratah. 20 special friends joined me with champaign, amazing food choices, attentive, charming and professional staff. Our orders were not the "norm" prana chai with almond milk and VEGAN options to cater to my crazy lifestyle, delicious, delicious, DELICIOUS. Most amazing birthday EVER!!
