Unprofessional, vindictive, extortionists. We ended our lease on 4/09/17. Two adults, 3 bedroom house, in Baulkham Hills. Throughout our 18 month lease, we had a minimum of 3 property managers. The final of these, being the worst(by far) & earning the agency this review, by yours truly. I have been kind enough to leave names out of this review. 1. Hot Water Outage We were without hot water for three & a half (3.5 weeks/24 days) weeks. The issue was reported to our property manager the day the service ceased. We followed up the repair/replacement several times throughout the duration of the outage. When I did receieve responses, they would state that they would "follow up" the plumbers only to hear nothing back. When I finally receieved a call from the real estate plumber (3.5 weeks later), they advised that they had only, that morning, received approval to proceed, from LJ Hooker. We did not submit a compensation claim for this. 2. Final Inspection (booking of date) This was one of the most gruelling tasks I have ever endured. I've had more complex conversations with two-year-olds. I couldn't help but feel that our property manager was vastly illiterate/dyslexic, as it took 9+ emails & over the span of two weeks, for her to confirm a date, even after we put forward prosepctive dates, in our initial email. The emails we received always took a while to decipher, due to their illiterate nature. During this time, the property manager also went on leave, with nobody looking after her portfolio, which further delayed this process. 3. False Accusations Upon termination of our lease & vacating the propery, our property manager accused us of: ripping curtains, removing a for-lease sign, amongst other ludicrous claims(with no basis). No apologies were received, when the agent was proven wrong. We (after many unnecessary, disgruntled emails & phone calls) received our full bond back. At the commencement of our 18 month lease, we repaired many things ourselves (out of our own pockets), due to the agency not repairing when we had reported to them. We did not ever ask for compensation for doing so, nor did we ever receieve any thanks, for doing so. We: replaced broken rollers on back door, replaced broken rollers on shower screen, replaced unsanitary toilet seat, re-affixed detached skirting tiles, had plumber repair toilet cistern leak, had plumber repair leak under kitchen sink, amongst various other items. I have never had such a foul experience, or come-across such a grave lack of customer service, when dealing with a Real Estate company, in the past. There is such a ridiculously large amount of reform & training required within this agency. I cannot emphasise enough, how much time, effort & stress they wasted, of mine & my partner's. I will NEVER, myself, deal with this agency again; nor will I recommend to friends, family, associates or colleagues; in fact, I will ensure to do the exact, polar opposite.

If you are a tenant then never go for properties managed by this particular one. They would force you to pay for even for normal appliances that fall under responsibility of owner to be repaired citing hundreds of reasons. The tenant management division is extremely rude and wont entertain any requests from you for any genuine complaint. I have been with other smaller real estate agents earlier and now too and all of them are awesome when compared to this particular LJ Hooker. So tenants beware, you have been warned!

Worst real estate ever to deal with - I would advise the tenants to please take care when occupying property with them as despite professional cleaning they expect you to have every nook cleaned, walls wipped, etc - bottom line they prefer to keep the bond!! They are not only impolite, unhelpful but also will never get back to you regarding any major items to be fixed in the property but are good at rectifying properties from bonds at the end of the tenancy...

Good tenants! , Good landlord! ,Good property!, And an agency that broke them apart. We have leased a property for a little more than a year and decided to leave due the agency attitude. I have a lot of confidence that the landlord was fair in price wise and for every other issue that needed her/his response. The issues were with the agency. Issues: 1. Never returned a call when requested. "She is not in currently , and will call you later" false promise. 2. Several disrespectful conversations which always starts with "No" and ends with "..It would be taken out of your deposit" . No reason for this answer since we should not be treated as suspects. 3. I was not invited to the final inspection also it was impotent for me and i officially asked that in the vacating form. Also the dispute and the tribunal hearing and the agreement that we got to , no apology was given for it. 4. The property was dusty and dirty when we got into it , in a way that could not be mentioned on the "property state" document. So for later reference to be considered i took you-tube videos to share the state of the property. When it was returned in a better shape , the overall of the property was disregarded , and several specific issues were demanded to be cleaned. If the house would be cleaned before we moved in , it would have been much more expensive then the $170 the agency demanded me to pay. As a landlord , i would not use the agency services since the other side that needs to be treated "The tenants" needs to get a SERVICE as well.
