Amazing hot pot which is also halal as a bonus. The serving size is pretty big for two people. I added the sea food platter as an extra but it was an overkill. Luckily you get to take away the food you haven’t finished but make sure to cook it up first. It was an amazing experience for us. The setting is also decent so would really workout for a date night. Also got a $20 voucher at the end of our dinner. So overall 6 stars with the bonuses.
Had my first hot pot experience here at happy lamb Melbourne. We enjoyed every bit of it. The service was good. The price was decent too based on the amount of food per dish. We might have needed some kind of explanation sine it was our first try. Anyway, it was a nice time spent and the food was awesome. I believe the food is also healthy too.
one of the best hotpot experiences iv had!! the broth is so rich and full of flavour! there is no need for dipping sauce because the broth is THAT good! i highly recommend their Spicy and Sour broth! dont worry you can choose the heat level the beef set is definitely worth every bit! really good quality meats n cuts im amazed how good it was and all as their standard meats too! super spacious spot with both down and upstairs available! they can facilitate for small and large groups! definitely recommend trying these guys out! worth!
Hands down my favourite ever hot pot place! It's a 40 minute drive each way for me but 100% well worth the trip every time! Bonus points for being halal because now I can take all my Muslim mates here and show them the delicious world of hot pot! Highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone especially the Muslim community in Melbourne - you will not regret it!
Can't get enough of Happy Lamb. I went twice in the space of 1 week. The unique taste of the traditional broth is second to none. The premium wagyu and seafood platter enhanced the taste even further. Highly recommended!
The food and the service was great but I wasn't happy with online menu set up. After you scan the QR code you have to create an account either by using your email, Google, or Facebook account. It shouldn't be mandatory to create account. I wasn't happy with creating an account however the staff respected that and provided a paper menu. It has multiple floors and separated sections for big groups. I would definitely recommend!
The best hotpot in Melbourne and it’s halal too. The double soup selection is great and tasty. The lamb selection is good, and there’s other varieties of protein. The service was really fast and good. We will definitely be back again to try other stuff on the menu!
As a first timer, it was very confusing experiencing. And we didn't find much support by staff in regards to how everything worked as an experience. Downfall to the experience was customer service. Despite asking for help we were told to just follow everything on the App. As a vegetarian, I struggled to locate the vegetarian broth option on the menu with no clear indication of which broth was vegetarian. I thought it was the tomato broth. Later after our meal came out I was informed we should have informed them.q Heads up if you are vegetarian there is no vegetarian options clearly indicated on the menu and you will need to inform them. The meal in itself was delicious and the experience once we explored it ourselves was fun. I enjoyed the ongoing top up of the brothe and it was always kept warmed for us to enjoy. Great setting area an ambiance well lite, large tables setting area felt a little cramped for tall people.
@happylambmelbourne is the perfect restaurant for those who don’t eat pork or beef. Because @happylambmelbourne is where you will find an all lamb only hotpot besides very handful of beef options. We also kept our hotpot spread to lamb only and some seafood and greens. We opted for the zero spicy yet the most flavourful and peaceful hotpot soup base ever, that is the traditional bone broth. Made of beef and chicken bone for over 6 hours with lots of lovely herbal spices and chestnut, to give that calming feel to it. We chose the Premium Fresh Shredded Lamb slices, Happy Lamb Signature slices and we got to witness how in the kitchen they make these slices to a perfection. The quality of the lamb is supreme, that is very evident from it’s melt-in-the-mouth and oh-so-tender feel inside the mouth. We also had Fresh Handmade Cuttlefish, Fresh handmade Lamb meatballs, vegetable tray, fish tofu and handmade fresh noodles. Everything tasted simply amazing and yum. Especially the meatballs and the cuttlefish. Strongly recommended. We also had grilled lamb ribs, simply divine and so juicy and feels like they have used the best quality of lamb to prepare this. Must try. And their homemade fresh plum juice is also another must try in this restaurant. Such a refreshing and beautiful drink compliments well with the hotpot. I’d definitely visit again to try their lamb hotpot since it’s so unique yet so fantastic and a tasty experience overall. The service is super duper fast, and the team of staff are such helpful, kind and polite people. The best part, their hotpot price is very standard and affordable. They also have set hotpot for 2/4 people which is again very reasonable as well. Although it’s super hot now, but you in know Melbourne, it can get so cold in a blink of an eye, and then you’ll crave for some hotpot. So do checkout @happylambmelbourne the newly opened lamb exclusive hotpot in the heart of Melbourne CBD.
Patronise on the 12 Aug 2022 at 1730hrs. As we just arrived in Melbourne and has no dinner reservations at any places, we decided to try our luck at happy lamb. We sure is happy when they told us we can walk in but dining time would be 1.5hrs which I think is still reasonable. *usually when i eat hotpot is about 2hrs* we were ushered to the first level, all the reservation were at the upper floors. Service was prompt. There is a QR code for you to order but it ask for personal details so best would be to use either FB or Google to link it. Variety of food was accepted but since is a happy lamb I only tried all lamb varieties. The lamb was fresh and tasty just by its own. The table setting was uncomfortable to sit as there is no leg space. Not sure if it's the same table for all levels. I don't mind sitting at first level though. Table was a bit small to put food that we ordered. If there is time limit, do make sure when customer orders, there is places to eat. I reorder food 3 times. I had the signature lamb,.premium lamb, Vege, fresh noodles, lamb skewers MUST HAVE, lamb ribs some other small dishes. All the food were fantastic. Great service too! We had an enjoyable and scrumptious dinner on our first day at Melbourne.
