I wanted to try hotpot for the first time so we came here. It’s a massive place with very efficient and quick service and the menu was one that you write your choices on and they will come and collect it. We ordered a mixture of meats and vegetables and opted for the non spicy base. Was really yummy and I liked the options on the dipping station for all kinds of dips to use.
A good place for single hotpot. The side dishes are really delicious and I chose the chicken soup base. They also have so many options for spicy soup base, while I like the spicy chicken the most.
Classic Hot Pot Venue for Big Groups. Been here a range of times over the last 8yrs- they have spicy and non-spicy. Large space to accommodate larger groups with individual hot pots. We were greeted at the door and served promptly. All individual dishes were fresh.
No bad when compared with other rice noodles restaurant in Melbourne. But the best i had that was in Brisbane sunnybank. I have added two toppings and extra rice noodles for the pot, which is big enough for 2 people to share.
High quality soup and ingredients fried tofu was a bit too chewy instead of crispy, but everything else was lovely. The place is a tad expensive though ~$110 for two. Each diner gets their own pot of soup, so you lose on the communal sharing experience. I'd come back in small parties, but with groups larger than four I'd go elsewhere for my hot pot.
A great dine-in place. Rich experienced when having hotspot during the occasion. Food was yummy, especially the base of soups—a variety of selections to choose from. Quite a good place for a group of people to have meals here, tastes like yummy
Very helpful staff explained everything. Prices were reasonable for an inner city restaurant. Huge menu
A hot pot must try, Dainty Sichuan is top of my list when it comes to a hot pot experience. I loved having my own hot pot and being able to choose the broth I wanted for myself. The menu here is really good, offering many variety of good quality ingredients. The sauce and condiments bar had a good and large range of toppings. My friends and I ordered different meats, seafood, noodles and veggies and everything was really tasty and fresh. Thanks for the invite, I will be sure to recommend as this was a really great restaurant to visit.
Dodgy - underpaid staff. Food rank and overpriced. Plenty of money to go to the CCP. Pure evil Underpaid staff but were able to pay political parties. If you eat here you have no morals. From the Judge : media reports there is mention of a contribution of $80,000 made by the Dainty Sichuan Group to a political campaign. While the contribution was said to be a smaller amount, it demonstrates that this conduct was not due to lack of funds: employees were being underpaid while contributions were being made to a political campaign. Nice spot for hot pot - lots of choices for soup bases and ingredients. The syrup rice cakes where a highlight for us
