Tried twice over a week to get a car park, cruised for 25 minutes and found no spaces...so decided to give it a miss. Would hate to be a local and actually live there.. just awful..too many tourists. Area needs a very very very big designated tourist carpark 5000 cars+ 5 KLM away...and a free shuttle bus to Hastings St and park..every 20 minutes. may try again midweek in winter 2024.?? Maybe Noosa parking only for residents? and public transport.
People need to be aware that Noosa Heads is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Australia. So the car parks are always busy. Some business people have suggested a multi level carpark in Lions Park. Hope this doesn't happen. The car parking areas are free most of the time. But timed parking limits do occur at peak times. I am an advocate of removing all cars from this precinct and establishing a free electric shuttle bus from Noosa Junction. Council needs to implement a long term solution!
This carpark is also every time full. Only when I come here in the early morning, then you find a great spot for your car.
A good place to spend with the family and children, have a barbecue.
