This is for an individual working at the Salon. Ange has been my hairdresser for give or take 3 years, she is an exceptional hairdresser and is such an asset to the Salon. Ange listens to her clients, takes her time to make sure they are happy with the result, offer real advice rather than promising something that may not be possible. She does beautiful fine foil work, cuts that suit and is such a lovely person to spend a few hours with. I always look forward to my appointment with Ange, I would not go to anyone else - if she leaves the industry, I will be devastated and if she is snapped up by some other salon I would follow her right there. I appreciate your wonderful customer service Ange, you are the sole reason I go to this salon, as sometimes I have not felt like a valued customer there. Keep doing amazing work , they are lucky to have you. I recently had an amazing experience with Lifestyle Hair. I had my bridal hair done by the lovely Atarina, and had Tyler Assisting with the bridesmaids up-do. My hair turned out exactly as I imagined and looked amazing. I couldn't recommend a better service!
My appointment with Melissa, the Salon owner, was my 4th visit to this Salon. My appt started on time and I was taken through and my nape length hair was washed and I was seated at the mirror. Melissa signaled to me that she would be there after she'd settled the bill with her previous customer. We started with a brief conversation, with me commenting that considering my last cut was 6mths ago, my regrowth was slow. I said I was happy with the overall shape, and really just wanted a light trim all over to reshape and to take out the heaviness of the layer regrowth. She agreed, then said just the fringe then, but I said well no, but I do want it to frame my face. She cut my hair for aprox 10 minutes, layered mouse and gel into it, then spent 10 more minutes blow drying it. Didn't seem very interested in me, but had a loud and very animated conversation with a colleague while attending to me. When she had finished, she commented that there was only a little bit of hair on the floor. Not much at I all said less than a dessert spoon. She said she had to leave, as she had something on and one of the girls would look after me. She had a quick conversation with the girl, then dashed out the door. I was asked if I wished to reschedule, to which I answered no thank you. The whole appointment was over in 35 minutes. I was charged $79.50. I was quite shocked at this, and the whole experience, considering how little was done to my hair, in the way of cutting and reshaping it. as evidenced by how little hair was on the floor. I wanted to take a picture of it. I should have. It was appalling service really. I did not feel like a valued customer, I felt irrelevant. Maybe it was because I am not a big spender, on the like of foils and colours and treatments etc. I just want a stylist to listen to what I'm requesting and give me a decent hair cut, for a fair and reasonable price. I went straight home and washed my hair, and re dried it back to normal looking, and I could not tell it had even been cut at all. I ended up doing it myself, in front of my bathroom mirror. What a rip off. Needless to say, I will not be going back to Life Style hair, any time soon.Service: Hairstyling

Covid hair loss led me to wearing a hat most of the time, but I took a chance going to Lifestyle….and was so delighted. The stylist Atarina created a style that suited me while my hair grows out again. And everyone there was just lovely and friendly.Service: Hairstyling
I love coming to this salon. It is filled with happy vibrant people who are very skilled with what they do. The atmosphere is really cool, a really nice place to be to get your hair done and unwind from a busy week. Sarah the stylist is Absolutely Awesome and knows her stuff! Highly recommend this place. I drive from the Kapiti Coast to come over here. Cheers team for making every visit an enjoyable one.
I got my hair cut at this hair salon a year ago. My hair was just longer than chin length and I wanted to grow it out to shoulder length. I asked for colour and a trim. I ended up with a fashion cut that I was charged around $80 for. The colour was beautiful, but my hair ended up shorter than most pixie cuts, my undercut was cut way too high, it was very squareunflattering on me and had no layering or texture. I did complain and a senior stylist did help the situation, but to be honest a year on I am still not happy that my hair was cut so short. It's only JUST grown back to the length it was before it was cut.
So much of your personality and self esteem is tied up in your hair so handing over your 'crowning glory' is always an act of utmost faith! I have been a client of the team at Lifestyle Hair Studio for at least ten yeas and they have managed to tame, cajole and maintain my challenging, stubborn and fragile personality and have done a great job on my hair as well! To have long, bleached hair is always going to be a mission but through their fantastic products loyalty bonus schemes and fun nights at the salon, testing new products and learning about new trends in hair care, my hair is in great condition, well maintained and easy to manage. In business, it's all about going the extra mile and making your customer feel special. Melissa, Raewyn and the team have achieved that and have created a friendly and helpful environment to spend time in. Always recommended and lovely, friendly people!
