Nick has given me the confidence to resume everyday activities again! Having suffered repeated hamstring injuries, I came to Nick in search of some help. Nick not only gave me a differential diagnosis within the first session, but set up a session plan with continual support both in and out of sessions over the course of 2 months which has given me the confidence to get back to being my best self again. The road to recovery is long, but Nick and the team have made and continue to make sure I am supported during the entire journey with expert advice and going above their duties with a tonne of extra support outside of sessions which has been above and beyond anything I could have asked for. I now feel more in control of my condition thanks to Nick. He is both an absolute professional and a great person and I could not have asked for much more!

Highly recommend Melbourne CBD Physio! Came in regarding an ankle injury, being a ruptured Achilles tendon. Dr. Nick Cross was very clear and concise about the options and was very accomodating. Emphasising the need to progress at a faster pace, I was referred out to one of the specialists within Nick’s network. The level of care definitely helped with feelings of uncertainty, and I felt confident I was receiving the best advice available. I look forward to continuing my recovery at Melbourne CBD.
I highly recommend the expert team at Melbourne CBD Physio. I saw Nick Cross after rupturing my achilles earlier this year and he gave me a comprehensive plan to get me back to walking and running. As a physiotherapist myself, I was extremely impressed by his level of care, knowledge, expertise and compassion throughout the rehabilitation process. Melbourne CBD Physio's purpose built facility is also amazing and provided a real elite athlete experience, which allowed me to objectively track my strength throughout my rehab journey. More recently, I attended Melbourne CBD Physio's "The Traumatic Knee: A New Era In Diagnosis and Rehabilitation" course, run by Dr Tim Sayers and facilitated by the Melbourne CBD physio team, and it far exceeded my expectations. The level of detail and thought that went into structuring the course, the inclusion of lectures from surgeon's and the in-depth exploration of factors that influence rehabilitation has enhanced my understanding of traumatic knee presentations and developed my clinical reasoning.
I booked in appointment to see Nick Cross after seeing multiple great 5 star reviews on here. I have been searching for the best physio clinics in hopes to help me cure my leg pain that I’ve had for years. The receptionist was super friendly and welcoming, but for some reason the minute Nick called my name I could feel it wouldn’t be the great session as I had hoped. I am generally a happy and smiley person and get along great with anyone. I brought a friendly energy when I first met him, but he seemed like he already disliked me, was arrogant and made me feel like I didn’t know what I was talking about - how he explained things as if I was stupid or less than. He just made me feel overall uncomfortable. It was surprising because I had specifically picked to see him because I had read amazing reviews mentioning his name on here. I don’t know if that’s just how he is, he’s had a bad day or if it’s because I am asian that he had treated me differently which would be disappointing if that were the case. I walked out feeling I had wasted $90 to see someone who didn’t make me feel great and I would never give business to anyone who made me feel that uncomfortable and talked at as if I was less than. I can’t imagine he is this way to everyone because there are great reviews on here and precisely why I even sought out this specific clinic in the first place. People can feel if you treat them a certain way. Most people would never say a thing and you would never even know, they just wouldn’t come back. I can’t say what it’s like with the other practitioners, I wish I had seen someone else instead, maybe it would have been an entirely different experience. But I honestly thought I made the best decision by going to Nick seeing his history and reviews. But it just wasn’t the case. --- In response to the owner’s reply 12/10/22: The times that you have called, I have been at work. There is nothing else that even needs to be said or can be said on your behalf because it is Nick’s word/perception against my experience. I have been to chiros, physios, podiatrists, myotherapists, other health practitioners regularly for years, so I understand what a consultation is like as I have been to countless ones. I have also been a past personal trainer and boxing coach so I have coached and trained other people similarly with technique, mobility etc. I’ve had multiple health practitioners explain, ask me questions and diagnose me. So I am not new to these appointments. I know the difference between feeling welcomed, safe and heard whilst still educating and helping and when I am not. No one can say what happened because they weren’t there besides the two people that were. Even if there is a zero tolerance of discrimination there is always unconscious bias. It is just again gaslighting to say that I had ‘perceived’ your communication and explanation to be arrogant. I don’t just throw around that word for fun or for the heck of it. Even writing this review is exhausting. I had gone out of my way to write this because I obviously had a bad experience.
Nick, Tim and the rest of the team at Melb CBD Physio were great! Knowledgeable, considerate, professional and the facilities are first-class. Highly recommend!
Came to see Nick Cross for an acute foot injury. Nick quickly identified my issue and explained that I needed further investigations, and that at this particular point in time he wasn’t the most appropriate person to see or to manage my injury. What impressed me was the honesty as well as how fast he activated his external clinical network who are also lovely and provided a comprehensive report so they were aware of what I was coming to see them for. On the recovery now and will be back soon!
Nick and the CBD Physio Team went over and beyond assisting with my treatment. Initially, going in for a running assessment, I was highly impressed with the specificities of the exercises and equipment used to evaluate. Then, Nick quickly identified a significant injury inhibiting my performance. Working closely in a matter of weeks with a treatment plan I managed to return to sport and continue to build strength both for performance and injury rehabilitation. Happy to have trust in a friendly team that understands the demands of competitive sports.
