If i could give zero, i would. For almost two weeks we've been waiting for a phone appointment that never happened.
We finally got through to one without going to MessageBank, we get the excuse of "we've been trying to call you all day"
The lawyer we did finally speak to before we gave up was very rude ans wouldn't allow me to finish my sentence without simply saying "so?" To everything i said.

The receptionists were nice, but I have been arranged with a rude lawyer. There was no greeting or introducing himself. The old lawyer took out the documents from my folder without asking me while the folder was still in my hands. He stopped me to talk about the case after I spoke few sentences. He said I was not speaking English and insisted to call for a translator. Obviously he said that because I requested for a translator beforehand. I requested one just in case there were some legal terms I might not undetstand. I didn't mind to have a translator involved as requested, but his attitude was rude. Apparently he thought that I couldn't understand English totally. He rejected to listen to me and only talked to me through the translator. I have been Australia for 15 years, I never had any translator to help before and there are no communication problems at all. After the translator hung up the phone, I answered his few questions, so did he really not understand my English? I feel I was not respected during this appointment.

Not happy with the help recived from legal aids lady who works at perth watch house and north of perth area as she was forcing me to plead guilty and when i said no i want to adjourn my case she adviced to not adjourn as the judge get up set at the courts having too many backlog of people which also makes our courts full
She did not want to hear my side of the story as to the events that leading up to me being charged only tell me that there is a grey in the story.
Claire thank you for the useless help and info
All agents who work under OUR government have mental issues that need to be addressed

I came in to seek legal advice. To be honest, I felt like I was being judge and made to feel stupid by the female lawyer. Up till now I was given better support and information by Fremantle Courthouse and Consumer Protection on the phone!
I can't remember the name of the lawyer I saw, besides the fact that she was new, in her late 40s and didn't want to shake my hand or make eye contact when meeting my partner and I. It seemed like she was unhappy with her job and projected her frustration on me. When she asked me to explain my situation she stopped writing half way, sighed and stopped me abruptly. Immediately making negative comments without actual hearing the full story. It seemed liked I was wasting her time. Her attitude and abrupt interruptions continued throughout the whole meeting. Specially when I tried to inform her several times that I had read the laws available online for the particular subject. She ignored me, and proceeded to continue lecturing me in an immature manner, with a slight raised voice, rolling her eyes, waving her hands around and sighing.
I found her comments towards me disrespectful and rude as she herself made it clear to my partner and I, that briefly looked at the laws... Where as I had spent hours reading and searching what I could. I even printed out the documents and highlighted points I was unsure of/wanted to discuss so that I understood my rights. She appeared upset that I brought documents that she hadn't read. Documents which I was told to bring by admin, if I thought it would help my case.
This legal advisor dismissed all the documents I brought, but one, one which she read, sighed, raised an eyebrow and repeated..
"Hmmm... this is unusual, very unusual, I never seen this before".
She herself may have never seen what was written before, but I can guarantee her that I have, along with a bunch of other people who have been in my situation.
This lawyer lacked ethics and should be educated! I am a health and science student and have been educated on ethics. This type of treatment is unacceptable.

Professional, though a little limited in the help they can provide due to financing restrictions!
