Tiny, gorgeous, and hip. With vibrant colourful staff who work there. The coffees are good and the atmosphere is a keen beauty.
Fairly quaint little cafe with an organic-like presentation. I've only tried the coffee here, and it is very good albeit slightly above market price. There is also limited amounts of fresh bread, but I have not confirmed where this has been baked. Seating is on stools only, and large groups would not be catered for as the cafe occupies a limited area.
My wife and I were staying just down the street at Byron Bay Hotel and Apartments. Leaf and Grain coffee shop is only a block away. The coffee was very good - we had 2 flat whites. There are a lot of yummy pastries available too although I was trying to cut down on the sweets - too bad for me. Staff are very friendly and helpful. A good choice to start the day!
I went here twice on my recent trip to Byron and was really impressed with the quality of food and service. I had the brekky greens which tasted so nourishing. Brekky wrap was great too. Super nice staff happy to help us with our little bub’s food too. Will be back. Coffee looked excellent.
Coconut infused cold brew. Bring your own cup to get 50c off your order. Sandwiches have thiiiiick sliced bread and oh so good. Dog friendly
I ordered a decaf coffee with my breakfast, it tasted disgusting like drinking vinegar, so did not have it, I had my sister taste it too and she couldn't have it either, although her filtered coffee was actually nice. I told the cashier at the end that the decaf coffee was really bad and sour and the only thing I received was a look in my eyes and a hmmm!!! No apologies, didn't try to change the coffee or anything else, I think they were actually upset I was letting them know! However the homemade vegemite was really nice and liked the avo and poached egg.
Love this place Always the same friendly welcome from the barista and it’s nice to get exactly what you order Mushroom hot chocy and the cheese and spinach rolls are delicious ! My doggie loves it here too Keep up the good work
Boutique cafe, really nice fresh salads, awesome locally sourced coffees and in-house made juices as well as kombucha. The owners are a lovely young couple who enjoy talking to their customers. I worked at their barista a short while and it was a sweet place to work. Out door seating available, nice and casual.
What a place! I came by this unsuspecting place a bit by accident. I'm not really into the organic kale super salad that I had judged this place for. Honestly, I wasn't sure what they could offer me I could find some place else. Leaf & Grain is not huge, there aren't a great deal of seats, and the place next door is well known. What I was surprised by was the quality of food produced and the raw authenticity it seems to be made with. The people that work there have a passion for food that magically translates into taste. I went for the bacon and egg roll. It was on the top of their blackboard and promised things I've never tried -- maple bacon, beetroot relish. What a treat! The food is served in unpretentious take-away boxes that matches the nonchalant vibe of the place. It's just raw and authentic, the Byron way. The coffee is also decent. It's worth popping in and trying their food. Small, intimate, just don't take your whole family because they probably won't all fit.
Part of Byron's busy coffee corner. Good quick coffee + a range of healthy food and rustic bread.
