Every meal was divine. Highly recommend making room for desserts too. Lovely service and atmosphere.
The food was lovely. I'll be coming back here when I next visit Terrigal. I highly recommend Le Chat Noir.
The food was delicious however the 3 small scallops as a Starter for $16 was a little high in cost, the main absolutely delicious but the dessert of blancmange was sooo small on a large plate for$14 was a rip off. There are no ocean views just traffic. The service was very slap dash. We had half eaten the main course before the wine arrived and not all the main courses arrived at the same time. Of they can the service sorted and provide the correct serving size for entree and dessert and it will be a winner.
Great French food and really decent cocktails! Leave the car at home.. Front of house are great and they always go out of their way to assist where they can. Had a birthday there recently and we booked out the whole back room. Was a great night!
This place is a gem. They had two chefs down so there was a bit of a wait, however, the staff were so courteous,friendly and at ease it was totally pleasant. The food was delicious. I will definitely return when in the area.
My husband and I have visited this restaurant twice and each time have had a wonderful experience. Food is excellent and the staff attentive but unobtrusive. However, the day was warm and quite humid with no breeze coming through the louvers. We understand with the louvers open the air conditioner would be ineffective. A large fan would have saved the day.
Tastes like someone "Chat" in my mouth! This is some of the worst food I have ever had the displeasure of tasting. I have been to this restaurant many times over the past 10 years, and something must have gone terribly wrong. The staff did not even ask why I requested the bill 5 minutes after the meals were put on the table and were barely touched. It must be a common occurrence for this lack of concern. You will be paying Sydney prices $45-$60 for a main and entrée. I recommend just flushing your money down the toilet to avoid the experience. Don't risk it at all cost!
Of it's type and style it is fabulous for food/menu, wine selection, service, atmosphere and value. If it were in Sydney you would need to book weeks ahead. Big pluses are a separate vegetarian menu and wheelchair access. My favourite provincial french restaurant for a couple of years now.
We have just had breakfast at the restaurant to celebrate my dads' birthday - first time here for most of the family. Wonderful food and service. The waitresses could not do enough for us and even bought dad out a danish with candle and sang happy birthday to him! He loved it.The French toast is heaven. We will be back to try dinner.
Lovely restaurant, nice ambience, delicious food & a good quantity. Staff exceptional. Busy on a Sat night, fairly long wait for meal but worth the wait. 3 course deal for $45, more choice 3 course deal for $59. Great night!
