I was a regular customer with Georgia until today. I was very happy with the service and results that I received. Unfortunately I made the error of booking my next appointment with her personally in the salon at a time that suited me. I put the appointment in my diary for the agreed time but did not receive a confirmation email until less than 48 hours prior to my appointment. I did not notice that the time specified on the email did not correspond with the time booked initially and ticked the agreement box. Unfortunately the time was different to the time agreed, so I had to pay for the missed appointment. I was very annoyed because she didn’t send me a confirmation email on the date of reservation and this is UNACCEPTABLE. She was unapologetic and said that I was making a BIG DEAL out of it. Had my makeup done with Laura and absolutely loved it, was the first time getting my makeup done and she made me feel so comfortable and loved the end result, would 100% recommend the salon x
I booked for my mum to have a treat whilst on holiday and I only wish we lived closer. The salon is decorated beautifully, very clean and modern. The lady who did my mums manicure was so friendly polite and so good at her job. I couldn’t get over how cheap the manicure was considering how much we pay at home they should charge so much more. My mum had builder gel and white tips and they are still going strong. We would highly recommend the Salon and when we come down again to Torquay we will definitely be back. After struggling to find a salon I feel comfortable in, I am so happy to have found Abbey Heywood Beauty. The girls are so welcoming and professional, I’ve never received a bad treatment. By far the best around, would recommend to anyone! Services: Manicure
0 professionalism. Contacted them on Monday evening, Abbey got back to me on Tuesday saying that the nurse for the hayfever injection would get back to me on Wednesday. I didn't hear back so tried calling them 4 times but no answer. Then in the evening they contacted me saying that they would call me today but still nothing! Absolute waste of my time. The owner has also asked privately to remove the review and has most definitely NOT informed me that the nurse was a abroad, just that she was going to be back on Wednesday. In her reply to this review, she forgot to mention that they stopped the service for hay fever on the 17th of June but didn't say this at all during any of our conversations. Meanwhile, I could have sought help elsewhere and not end up in A&E. I was contemplating removing this review as I support small, local businesses. But, after having seen the reply, I stand by what I believe and. Abbey is fully aware of what happened to me. I am just 100% sure this is NOT a professional business at all May I add that, although none of my calls were answered, she was very prompt to text me regarding the review. I am editing this as unfortunately I cannot reply. I am sure they are good at beauty stuff but definitely not the business to use for serious matters.
