Tried the original souvlaki and lots of meat nice and juicy, the sauce and pita bread are also excellent. The bloke serving me was a friendly fella and was honest. The chips are also decent. Next time I’m in prahran I will come back for sure
I came and ordered a lamb kebab. It was Friday night/Saturday early morning and so it was very busy. However it didn’t take long to order, and then get my food. The staff were very friendly, and frequently checked in with me to let me know how long it would take, etc. The only down side I would say is that the kebab didn’t have a whole heap of flavour. However on the whole, the food was pretty good, the meat was tender and juicy.
The HSP was so good! Had the chicken and lamb one but the lamb honestly stole the show - it was soft and broke apart so easily. The sauce also made the dish very delicious.
The owner looked angry when I asked if they do falafels. Lucky I am not vegetarian ha ha.. The Lamb Souvalaki was tasty and generous. The wrap needs to be bigger to hold the filling. I had to open the kebab to be able to eat it.
Very disappointed in the service and food here. I went and got 2 kebabs here last night and the guy behind the counter was rude, sour and cold, very poor customer service. The kebab wasn’t even wrapped properly, went to eat it and it just opened up everywhere. This wasn’t a “late night drunk feed either”, was there after the footy at 10:30pm. For business that have been struggling the last few years, you’d think that they would put extra effort on how they deliver their service and present their food. Won’t ever be returning and I’ll make sure I tell others not to go also.
Absolutely awesome... The meat is mouthwatering and just melts in your mouth. The Aussie souvlaki is my favourite. Highly recommend Food: 5/5
Absolutely nothing better than going next door getting my rear stuffed in the toilets then finishing it off with another mouthful at lamb on chapel, not the same footlong but it does the trick. The old man knows how to work the shaft and roll a souv +10 points.
The lamb here is cooked over charcoal and has an amazing taste. The large open platter is a great feed for 2. The chips here are so good too! Been coming here for years and there have been times that the lamb is hit and miss but today's was exceptionally good.
Awesome flavoured lamb. And it's the lambs in chunks, not the compressed stuff. Really delicious. Am happy to go back.Food: 4/5
The place looks like a very small dinner, however there is plenty of space in the back. The lamb is incredible and the coal smell where the lamb is cooked is amazing!
