I usually love Guzman and I always go get tacos the one at Ampol punt road is always impressed me but not in south Yarra. Look at the pictures i don’t know if this represents is food for human?? very disappointed.
Great customer service, energetic Staff was very kind and understanding, They listened to my concern about my chances in the bowl and changed it for me. Wait time is less and quick service Even I was at door around 8:58 pm on Thursday still they take my order that was appreciate. Delicious and healthy Mexican food options available here .
Busy place! The tram seemed new and didn’t know what they were doing but were friendly and worked it out eventually. Food was good and at least it was clean. Great for a quick feed.

I ordered a quesadilla wich is a fxcking joke, barely have cheese inside, the burrito is super acid coz the ingredients are so old OMG! no season, no well balance, I think the cooks hate working there.. completely money wasted I would never order in this place again
I had nearly visited all the nearby GYG's 4 to be precise, given all of them rating of 1 staras I can't give 0, which they deserve, with all the reasons added with images as well which includes branch of Malvern east, Box hill, Hawthorne & Moorabbin as well. Yet a foodie i am, many of my friends told me to try this South Yarra one branch. It's bit far from my location but as the words from the mouth suggested, it was not one of the best but "the best" branch of GYG till now. Ingredients were on spot, with right amount, service was quick & staff was friendly too.
i’m not one to leave a bad review, especially for guzman as it’s one of my favourite places to eat, but unfortunately not once, not twice, but now 3 times in only 2 months, I have found meat in my vegetarian burrito bowl from Guzman Y Gomez South Yarra. absolutely appalling. Thought i’d give them another go because I understand accidents can definitely happen in a fast food kitchen. However Either their kitchen is a mess and all the ingredients are mixed together or someone doing this intentionally. even when I ask to swap cheese out, they almost always put cheese in and then just try to hide it with other ingredients. don’t know how you can miss these big chunks of meat in there. shocking.
I went here a few times for a veggie burrito, and the last two times they were just not good no veggies at all, just rice and onion 2 days ago I decided to give it another chance and I ordered the veggie bowl instead. Disappointed again, it was just rice, black beans and guacamole, no veggies again. Maybe you guys should change the name of "veggie burrito" or "veggie bowl". Also, the place is full of flies which was disgusting.
I used to work here 4 years ago and I can confidently say that they quality of food and staff has gone down. A couple of weeks ago I ordered a veggie bowl and it had chicken sitting on top of the bowl and chicken sauce all over the top. The staff are like deers in the headlights and don’t know what is happening around them. It takes them at least 3 minutes to notice someone waiting to order. I don’t understand the point of some of the staff having their backs turned when making the food. I understand that they have heaps of orders but it should be the people that are looking out to the restaurant on the other side of the line or the shift manger to notice the people waiting. When I worked there we only used one side of the line to keep an eye out for people and could keep up with the amount of orders that they have today just on one side of the bench. There is one lovely guy with brown curly hair that is quite tall and wears his cap backwards that is super nice and helpful when ordering, I’ve noticed though that he will be the only one taking peoples orders while others ignore. Guzman is such a great business but the south Yarra store has gone down significantly.
The store is very busy during the evening but seating is always available as most people order delivery. I love the bowl, with chicken and salads, so tasty but sometimes if I order extra chicken, I don't get it.
