Very good buffet for lunch and ambience to sit n eat. Prime place for visitors to grab something to eat. Vegetarian options are fine. Flat breads, biryani, 4 different curries and a desert that's unlimited for $25 is a bargain. Fridays , weekends will make eaters to queue up right to the streets. Definitely recommend and most of our work colleagues eat out, we choose this place. One suggestion is to have dishes changed often rather change just a curry is a dampener for regular like me. Else near top class.

Today 22/05 we went lal Qila Darling Harbour we were group of 8 friends. We spent almost 3 hours and we ordered more then 10 different items from menu all the food was excellent delicious. If it's possible so I love to give them more ******* FOOD SERVICE AND PRICE ALL VERY GOOD highly recommended place in darling harbour.

The food was fantastic and so was service. Very friendly and welcoming staff. We enjoyed our dinner and let the chef know how pleased we were.

Unhygienic! Dine here at your own risk! You could be eating off others plates! The restaurant runs lunch buffet and does not take sufficient measures to ensure that the guests do not cross-contaminate the food. At more than one occasion we witnessed guests self-serving with their bare hands even though serving ware was available. The restaurant takes no responsibility to stop guests from using their dirty/soiled hands. Needless to mention touching food with hands that have been into one's mouth contaminates the food for everyone else. Instead of using a fresh plate for each round of serve, guests were carrying their used plates back to the food-lineup for subsequent rounds of serve. While doing so, their dirty hands as well as serving ware (serving spoons, tongs, etc.) were clearly touching their dirty plates with unfinished food still in the plates. Again, this practise is unhygienic and cross-contaminates the freshly lined-up food for everyone else. We spoke to the manager of the restaurant and made a very humble request to disallow guests from taking used plates back to the line-up of fresh food for another serving, and to ensure that guests don't use their bare hands to get a serving of food and use the serving ware instead. We requested that the restaurant put-up notice that clearly says "please use fresh plates for each round of serve", and "Please do not touch the food with bare hands" which is the standard buffet-serving practise all over the world. The manager was very dismissive of the suggestion. In fact, the manager went to great lengths to explain that by not allowing guests to take their used plates, the restaurant would run out of fresh plates and would cause the guests to wait for another round of serve. We mentioned that the restaurant could buy more plates to address the shortage of plates, and that hygienic food serving practise is more important than wait times. The manager was totally unreceptive to the suggestion and maintained that no changes were necessary to their serving/food handling practises.

Food taste is really good along with ambience. Been to the Surry hills branch a few times but this was my first visit to the darling harbour Lal Qila, I think in terms of Food taste they are the same, but this has more space and better layout.
