Took my dog to the vets in Lakes after she had been unwell for a week with shortness of breath, lethargy and decreased oral intake. Found to have a temperature and was treated for an unknown infection and sent home on antibiotics and an anti-inflammatory. She continued to deteriorate so we took her to another vets in Bairnsdale. As soon as we walked in the vet knew something wasn't right, without having to examine her. Xray confirmed a huge diaphragmatic hernia with fluid in her chest cavity. They couldn't see her heart on the images, it was so bad. We put her down the day after. Would not have any confidence to bring another animal back here and get an accurate assessment or diagnosis, let alone treatment.
Our gorgeous Spoodle badly damaged one of her nails while we were in an area not serviced by a Vet. We called Lakes Entrance Animal Hospital & the staff were so helpful on what to do & what pain relief was appropriate & they arranged a morning appointment for the following day . The female Vet removed the nail under sedation & gave clear & helpful instructions . All the staff we lovely to deal with
Staff were lovely and my pup had a successful surgery with good recovery.
