Have been using this chippy for 20+ years, and was very disappointed with my Best of British. The fish fillet looked a funny colour and had no taste and looks like they have also changed how they make the batter. Probably wont go back
Love this slay place, love the fries especially they’re so crisp. Also I’m forever grateful for one of the employees there, I forgot to ask for her name but she was tall and wore glasses. I was getting mugged and they almost drowned me in the deep fryer, but the employee went absolute maniac mode, and saved me. I’m forever grateful. All this happened while maniac played in the background…
Ordered the meal for two and oysters. Well the best part of the whole meal was the chips and the crumbed squid rings coz they weren’t soggy. The oyster was a tiny little grease ball with soggy batter, the fish was a mushy mess and the batter was stuck to the paper because it was that soggy and greasy even the animals turned there noses up and yeah the pineapple rings weren’t much better. So I paid $30+ for some chips and the rest ended up in the bin!! Should’ve taken note of the guy that was infront of me returning his meal and getting his $60+ back for his meal!
The fish and chips were actually disgusting, the fish was so oily all i tasted was oil zero taste of the fish regardless the fish, the fish was soggy , we'd already taken the first lot back cos it was slimy , a black hair, in the food , all the food was stuck to the paper, and for the price its definitely not worth it at all . Very disappointed. Will never buy from you again NEVER.......

Had the best of British last night and have to say what a let down. Fish was partly cooked and the chips was dry. The new owner cant even say hello or thanks unlike the previous owner. Lost my custom

I don't want to be completely horrible, the dim Sims & pineapple fritters were nice, kiwi hot dogs okay but everything was overcooked and the fish was terrible. It was indedible. So overcooked, outside layer was rubbery, then slimy on the inside like mush. Very dissapointing
Worst fish I have ever had. Quite slimy and gummy. I can't finish it. The Cheese Sausage which turns out they only have me beef was overcooked. Now the chips were fine but that is a lot of money for just chips. I called to complain and got hung up on.
Thought we would give them ago as ours was closed I'm sorry for the lousy review but guys that was the worst fish slimmy and mushy, tasted like sand, it was that bad we through it out, everything else was either dripping in oil or over cooked, ate the chips because I was hungry, will not be a returning customer
