A great bakery that never fails to dissapoint. We regularly have lunch here with our kids when we join my husband on his lunch break. Sausage rolls and pies are a fantastic staple and we love having a try of something sweet to finish off lunch. Staff are always friendly and and service is great. If they are ever busy serving someone else, they take the time to acknowledge you and let you know they shouldn't be too long.
Accidentally stumbled across this bakery while passing through. What a gem. Pies we’re delicious, however the pastries was the highlight for me. So good! I wished I could have skipped breakfast and ordered more!nService was very impressive. The bakery had a lot of seniors visiting and all of them were met with incredible patience and extremely friendly service. The kind of service you wish your own grandparents would receive by every young person.nHoping to one day pass through again..Hopefully on an empty stomach :
Food was nice I ordered 4 cookies, 2 pies add the vanilla slice in a large bottles mount Franklin water. The mount Franklin bottle of water had a pressed in top random but whatever. The lady forgot my vanilla slice but whatever, I'm not sure she charged me for it or whatever. It's all whatever anyway. I paid like almost 50 dollars for this, which is just the cost of living and doing business these days to be honest. It would have been nice if I did get like a vanilla slice for that price not sure if they make you pay for sauce here or not. Immediately after I left this location after I've finished eating my food. I went and jumped in my car and then a very odd happenstance occurred. Police appeared presenting their lights, pulled me over and then proceeded to inform me it was a random breath test. This was by no means random, I was targeted for whatever reason. I'm not sure why. However I mean they can't breathe test me when I'm not in my car, so I have to be driving before they can breath test me. But they were really I guess hoping to catch me because they pulled me over as soon as I got in, so the my thought is when they come from and what is this timing like. Very obviously someone in kyabram didn't like the look of me personally and then reported me to the police who weren't doing a random breath test they were presenting stereotype profiling but they didn't even really get a look of me themselves they were just going off based upon whatever somebody else said in town. And so someone in kyabram reported me to the police probably trying to claim that I was drunk. And then the police ask me where I was going which was a fair question because I did sleep in my car in the town. I told them where I was going and then they became very insistent on escorting me there, weird I don't need a police escort about town. They just tried to claim that they randomly would breathalysing me when they weren't at all, this was most definitely a targeted small town operation. And then they felt the personal need to be able to instruct me to follow them about the town like what kind of intentional crap is this. Firstly their breath test isn't random, when I'd literally hadn't even been driving like 30 seconds before they flash their lights at me how is that random. This is exactly what you would do if you thought somebody was very drunk and you were going to prevent them from driving anywhere else for safety reasons. So that's what they were doing, because somebody in town invented the reason that I was drunk because they are bored and they have nothing else better to do. Secondly they then trying to instruct how to move about their town like I can or can't just drive around anywhere on public roads without having to follow them I had done nothing wrong. The people in kyabram were otherwise lovely but if there's random people their reporting you to the police as being drunk when you have done nothing wrong these places are either idiots or completely corrupt. So just don't go to kyabram at all whatsoever and completely avoided otherwise you know a few bad eggs will ruin it for everyone, and really that's the case with kyabram. There's nothing else here really of great interest otherwise, in full review of this place, if you don't plan on living here maybe stop and grab some food quickly and get overcharged for that but otherwise just avoid and shoot through.
Been to this bakery twice on completely seperate occasions recently. Over the past 20 years have frequented this bakery a lot. Very dismal now. Been acknowledged by staff as being in queue on both occasions then ignored totally, one of those times by 2 staff. My father has also had the same issue. Extremely poor customer service given I have a lot of extended local family. Will not try again.
A gorgeous country bakery with a great range of hot pastries, a fabulous sandwich bar and a delightful range of cakes and slices. I personally love a great salad roll and here they have beetroot in them. That makes them perfect in my eyes! The coffee is great and I especially like a chocolate mousse or bee sting with the coffee as a special treat. Don't let the couple of google negative ratings deter you from a visit here..... those people clearly hate the world and need to take it out on someone!
