The Aussie male worker here can not take a simple order, I asked for two beef souvlaki’s which was clearly written on their menu and the guy gives me two small wraps with fish, lettuce and tomato. Onion in the one and none in the other, poor quality. If you can’t do your job then quit your job.Food: 1/5
My family adores this cafe. Best fish and chips we’ve had in a long time. The hamburgers with the lot always get ordered and we cannot leave without ordering a few scallops with our fish and chips. By the way, they cook the chips to perfection and staff are always friendly with great service. They offer phone orders as well but I would love to see them off delivery within Kyabram, someday soon.

Deceitful surcharge was added to the cost of a simple basic order. Will never attend this business again. Once enjoyed chatting with Kathy even tho the food was average. You cannot charge extra without a clearly visible notice displayed for customers to see. $2.40 surcharge for a $9 order. In the current cost of living crisis, $2.40 is needed just for a litre of milk. I've since heard lots of positive things about the Showgrounds Chip Shop, will be relieved to be a customer there instead.
Food on par with average fish n chip shop. Burgers are better around the corner at jimmies. The woman tried charging me 30 cents for chicken Salt. Never going again to any store that tries that swindled. Pathetic money grabbing.Food: 3/5

Good serving of chips, flake was also large. If asking for grilled fish note they put on a lot of batter, still tasted good. Tables & chairs, handy if you're passing through. Visited again June 2023, flake still large. Chips, potato cakes & dim sims still great.
Stopped at Kathy's on our way home, and OMG, the BEST fish and chips we have had in a long time. Friendly service with a smile and a laugh and a very clean shop.
If you are in Kyabram and looking for top notch take away, I recommend visiting this cafe. 3 of us dined in and all agreed the food was 5 stars. We would give more stars if we could. Souvlakis, potato cakes and chips were ordered and all served at the same time, all hot nothing had been sitting waiting. Kathy you did a great job being the only person doing the cooking and taking orders. I think the other reviews that only gave one star are a bit suspicious and harsh. We'll be back and will recommend highly. 10/10
