Impressive! Food was real good. We ordered 6 different dishes and everyone was absolutely delighted with their orders. Will definitely come back and try more! Fast service too. I would’ve given it 5 stars but the tempura had too much flour I reckon. Nevertheless we did enjoy everything!
Great spot for Japanese! Huge menu with lots of variety. Great for sharing with a group. Food was lovely and beautifully presented - made me want to try new things I wouldn't normally order! Really decent portion sizes too. The atmosphere was great with lovely Japanese themed decor - despite it being a busy, small space, it was still comfortable and could still maintain a conversation with others.
A fantastic Japanese restaurant in Ashfield. Although, the shop itself is quite small so be prepared to wait if you plan to dine during dinner service, it was great. The interior is beautiful with the lanterns and the cherry blossoms hanging from the ceiling. Service was nothing short of amazing, albeit they were short staff, both ladies working were attentive and detailed. The sashimi taco was the highlight of the evening. The only reason why I haven’t rated 4 is the ramen was disappointing. The broth was nice but generic and it wasn’t hot when it arrived. I’d definitely visit this lovely place again to try out the other dishes on the menu
Fast service - in and out in an hour even though we took 25 mins deciding what to order from the large menu. Everything was delicious and serving sizes are generous. It’s a small place and gets busy but vibe was still good. Great neighbourhood gem - would definitely go back!
This might just be our new favourite Japanese restaurant in Sydney. We love how friendly and accommodating the staff are and were very surprised at how huge the portions are. Great value for money and the ambience is very authentic. We will be back again.
I always walk past this place and it's always busy. I stopped in one afternoon when it looked quiet. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere is lovely. Cherry blossoms on the roof, cute music playing. But the food! When the poke Bo came out I was blown away at how beautiful it looked. Tastes amazing too! Definitely reccomend this little unassuming place
Very big portions for the price. Plates could even be to share as it gets filling on your own. Tried some new dishes out of the ordinary but it was good. Definitely recommend the spicy sashimi taco and the cream crab croquette.
Gorgeous interior design and lovely vibes. Excellent customer service. The food is delicious. The pasta-ramen is a genius idea. Good variety of vegetarian dishes. Definitely recommend.
This is probably the best quality Japanese offering in Ashfield from the three restaurants available on Liverpool Road. Clean premises, small dining area and tables are quite close together so you may have to queue outside during peak periods. Food portions are enormous and reasonably priced. I find the new QR code ordering a bit annoying and impersonal but it is probably to reduce staff costs and speed up service. The hand rolls are huge and the sweet potato hand roll is something special.
We ordered the Kujira special ramen as well as the mentaiko pasta ramen. The decoration was very aesthetic, and the food had a very homely feel. I would definitely recommend it if you see looking for good Japanese Ramen or even fusion food. I will need to come back for the sushi! You must order the sashimi taco! It was fairly priced.
