The outdoor courtyard at the back is very spacious and green. The staff were very friendly. The food was very average however and I felt not work the $.
the ambience is very nice and the food is actually quite good... however the place is almost always packed... specially during the holidays so the service was not rude... but understandably not great. BOOK AHEAD! Portions are generous and the pricing is not cheap but reasonable.
One of the only restaurants in Daylesford that's open after 3pm. Place needs to have better hygiene, our tables were filthy and covered in grime. Pizzas were surprisingly good given the reviews, ordered a gamberetto prawn pizza, the prawn tails were on and poop shoots weren't cleaned, other that the pizza was delicious.
Coffee was great but the staff so rude. I was told to “not take too long because I need the table for people who are having food” when I’d only just sat down. It was before 8am, it was quiet, and there were many free tables left. I got my coffee takeaway instead because I didn’t feel comfortable staying.
The outdoor courtyard at the back is very spacious and beautiful. However the food was very average and overpriced. I ordered a Pizza and a Lasagna. The Pizza was good but too small and the lasagna was no flavour at all.
For a relaxing and enjoyable afternoon of just sitting down for a coffee or a fantastic meal, Koukla is the place not to be missed when in Daylesford.
Just had a coffee but it was very nice. Great atmosphere.
