I’ve increased my review by one star because their pies have had a major recent improvement. Soft and tasty pastry with a delicious mince filling. The flavourless pap is now history and their pies are good once again.

Sausage rolls are still disappointing. They taste like cooked flour and water. It barely tasted of salt and fat let alone meat and herbs.

Some nice buns and cakes but the range is uneven in quality. I had a French style vanilla slice that was simply heavenly. On the other hand, their classic vanilla slice was congealed yellow stuff that had no custard or vanilla flavour.

Their cream and jam donuts and rolls bring back happy childhood memories and are worth a try.

Some good quality bread rolls available. Their baps are especially good. Other breads, particularly loafs, aren’t really remarkable.

tl;dr get a delicious plain pie, and a jam/cream donut.
