I had a wonderful time with the wife who enjoyed it even though she isn't an astronomy your person. The Twelve inch Meade's can spot objects like the Hamburger galaxy, globular clusters in great detail and Sol planets in awesome detail. Absolutely worth it, great price, the host Jim is friendly and a touch excitable in his element which is in itself, great fun to watch. 😃 It's located inside the old airbase.

We had 6 families with us that night and the astronomer was so knowledgble and nice, he answered all the kids questions about Space and explained to all of us, in simple terms, just how vast our Universe is. This facility would have to be the most inspirational attraction in Qld and yes, we're all coming back for the Winter skies and to see Saturn and its beautiful Rings! Thanks Jim, you are a truly amazing fellow.
