Very welcoming atmosphere eating here! Was so keen on the oysters which is what I came here for hearing from a mate who said it was unlimited. Unfortunately it was limited when we came. Still the food was replenished and each tasty and fresh. Would have been a good 5 but would like to see unlimited oysters back In the menu
My best buffet experience in a while! Service was quick and warm, and the food is great - one important thing is that it’s not salty, and I love that. They also top up the food very frequently including the oysters!
My 3rd visit in 8 years. I would have been far more frequent, however I live in Australia, and the restaurant visits are with my NZ based folks. The buffet is very reasonably priced, and the food is mild in range, but tasty in choice. The unbeatabale aspect of this business, is the extraordinary efficiency, friendliness, and warmth shown by the female owner { Mai ?}. I left the restaurant tonight shaking my head at yet another display of these 3 aspects. King Wah is the best example of getting it right as a local eatery.
Paihia is absolutely amazing for its selection This place has gone the extra mile, service and absolute quality. Some of the best Asian cuisine I have had. Fresh oysters are huge and tasty! Would do 6 stars if I could and will frequent this place every time I visit paihia!
A really good restaurant for buffet style Chinese but not your usual smorgasbord that you find in your local. Fresh and tasty and all sorts of meats, fresh salad and best of all the Fresh oysters that popped up as a surprise on the table. And great dessert too!! Highly recommended.
I hadn't been for at least 6 months but the food was, as usual, fresh and amazing. Set price for adults and price varies for children 12 and under. Only difference from when l was in last is you have to pay before you eat, not after as you leave. Apparently idiots were dining and dashing. Love this restaurant.
Very tasty seafood and welcoming atmosphere! Fish was deliciousRecommended dishesOysters on the Half Shell, Chicken Fried Rice
Great selection of tasty kai that is continually replenished. If the restaurant is full there is always outside undercover courtyard seating with a cozy ambiance created by all the fairy lights and outdoor gas heating....loved my experience here with my meice last night...we dined over a 2 hour period...yummiest kai...will return again. Visited again on 17June and the.bufget selection is always top notch and kept clean and tidy for presentation of kai....luff this restaurant....value for money
Great Food, Great Desert. Would have gave 5 stars but customer service was really awful we went there with 13 people and we all felt like they didn't want us there. Almost to the point of racism. Looking at us all weird being very rude. What a shame because the food was great!
Food was ok but would not consider it good value for money given the prices they charge. Sweet and sour pork served without rice, and then charged an additional $7 for a small tub of steamed rice. Seriously guys, get real! Fish and chips for one was $16, probably taking advantage of the cruise ship customers like every other takeaway/restaurant in Paihia.
