Tasty meals, cosy and entertaining atmosphere, welcoming staff! Pets are welcomed, or at least dogs so don't bring your possum pet just in case! They offer meals from breakie to dinner, and tasty beverages. Their battered fish and chips was something i will recommend to try. The extra treat is the sea view from the outside tables!
Seating available inside & out, and the look of the food was incredible , photos don’t do enough justice. Everything was delicious and fresh and DELICIOUS
Very good cafe on the road, i like coffee here. For vegetarians, there is are a options, but you have to modify it. See the picture baby spinach with bearnaise sauce made up of egg and yogurt and tomato on roasti roasted potatoes with beans in tomato gravy. Excellent veg dish. Vegetarian options: Ask for veg options and modify it.
A decent spot at the beginning of the Paihia strip. Best for breakfast. Dinner service was friendly and attentive. Warm atmosphere and live music on some nights. The Chowder entreé was really good. Eggs Benedict with salmon for breakfast is the go. Menu is a bit pricey $24+ for a burger, but that’s Paihia for you.
Lovely restaurant with great views of the sea. Seems to be further away from the main shops which may be why it was empty why we went but the food was nothing short of amazing. Massive fish bowls, with chocolate freakshakes, delicious beef brisket burgers... My go to for a reliable great quality, out of the box meal.
Very friendly and attentive service, the heaters were a nice touch on for this wet winters day. The layered pumpkin with goat’s cheese and spinach etc was absolutely delicious, and the perfect size. My husband had the duck and shitake mushroom pie. He wants to know if you sell them! Not a huge wine list but extremely adequate, both of us really enjoyed our different colour choices. Thank you Alfresco’s!
Food was hot, quick, and delicious. Generous servings and lovely service. Children menu, and colouring activities. Would dine here again
Went in for an early lunch yesterday only to find people smoking in the front area - something that's been illegal since 2004. Tried to make the best of it but the smell lingered even after the smokers were moved, the menu was uninspiring, and the service non-existent. Had a much better experience at another cafe in town.
It was okay, my latte was nice but a bit too sweet, just tell them next time not to put too much syrup in. I got this thing with an egg on top it was different to what I thought it was I thought it was a quiche with bacon and egg or summin and it wasn't warmed up... If it was it was cold by the time it got to me. As was the lemon muffin which was a bit sweet... Other than that I still ate them both.
on spring break we intended to have our dinner here, and the waiter at 6:45 pm told us the kitchen was closed. Today summer holidays we went for breakfast, they told us that without Booking we couldn't get in, but they didn't offer us take away either. Lots of empty tables and waiters who don't seem to want to work.Service: 1/5
