We have bought a number of expensive items from King Living. They look beautiful in the store and the purchasing experience is very straightforward and positive. However, a number of items have been delivered faulty or damaged. The process for getting these replaced or fixed is really poor. It has taken ~7-10 months each time and counting for some things. It has involved several emails and phone calls to the service team who seem to always be unaware where things are up to and what is causing delay. Calls result in only the most incremental progress. Emails are rarely answered and the responses are not very helpful when they are received. It is not what you expect for the premium price paid. Really disappointing and frustrating. We won’t be buying from them again.
DO NOT BUY FROM KING LIVING we reported a warranty problem the recliner would not close in November 21 the gas lighting was relentless it took 4 months to get a ‘technician’ to look then another 6 weeks till king living responded to email asking when lounge was to be fixed which never happened at 8 months the resolution do not give up people, you have to constantly email and ring them, they are fully aware of how rubbish their products are they offered a full refund. Now they have taken the lounge away and three weeks later have not refunded our money and have gone back into unresponsive mode again despite numerous emails. so basically you could say they stole our broken lounge i assume they will eventually give our money back probably 20-30 more emails- avoid this terrible company at all costs
I found the customer service from the Canberra store terrible and responses quite passive aggressive Couch was delivered with filthy seat cushions. It has been a month and the couch is still unusable. Support staff very unwilling to assist! Nice products and sales process but now have a very expensive dirty couch which we can't use. Do not recommend!
Go somewhere else! Wife and I purchased a king size bed in April. We were told September delivery. Bed was delayed and arrived in late October. It arrived with incorrect parts therefore King could NOT assemble the bed. It is now sitting in multiple pieces in bedroom as the "Technicians" they sent could not "fix" it. Because of this, the mattress is now in the garage as there is no room in house for it. Therefore cars are now sitting outside as they cant fit in garage given the King Size mattress & worst of all the wife is sharing a bed with 3yr old in a single bed while i'm sleeping on the couch. I reported the issue to King in Fyshwick - both people I spoke too didn't seem very concerned and just told me to contact support. So I did, I've called them 4 times in 7 days, and no help what so ever. No one has bothered to call back or assist, and I've been told 3 separate times id have a call back by "5pm". NOT ONCE HAVE THEY CALLED!!! Disgusting.
I previously reviewed King Living as 1 star on the basis it took approximately 4 months for a service / technician to attend to the problems with our $8,000 concerto couch. King Living have since been in touch and repaired our couch. Deb has been a great help in facilitating the repairs and improving the experience with King Living.
Do not buy from King Living - order was due for delivery after 3 month wait, only to be told it was ‘accidentally cancelled’ by a staff member and would be another 3 months until it’s ready. Terrible customer service, ignored by staff at the store and online customer care.
DO NOT buy King Furniture. The quality, despite the price and image of prestige they advertise is terrible. The after sales service is terrible. We bought a three seater King Cloud and have had nothing but trouble with it since day one. The fabric was not colour fast. The colour, bright orange, was being transferred to our clothing. There was glue all over the headrest arms despite being reassured that the couch had been 'personally inspected' for faults and quality of work prior to delivery. The buttons that control the foot and head rest failed within months and have constantly failed since. Plastic guides that house the table, lights and arm rest have broken off. The advertising suggests that 'your King will last forever with appropriate care'. This is not and has not been the case. The furniture is disproportionately expensive when compared to the quality. The after sales service is embarrassing. We have been waiting months to have our couch fixed. We're constantly being told that the case has been 'escalated' only to continue to wait more weeks with no one contacting us with an update. Don't waste your time or money. The only 'investment' will be in trouble, inconvenience and poor customer service.
We ordered our furniture in January, and more early February 2022. Since then, we received undisclosed fees, lack of communication, multiple delayed delivery, advice the product wouldnt be delayed as it is made in Australia and other issues. Requests for refund email and phone met with threats of 10% penalty fee, despite pleas that we are sleeping on the floor, have had inconsistent and non-communication several emails remain unreplied and managing our paid workloads around delivery costing us money and telling them that sleeping on the floor and lack of furniture has negatively affected our lives. Today i received a request to "rate my delivery" and waited on the customer care line to find out why i received this message. Seems our furniture arrived in Canberra but no one told me, refunded the funds, replied to my emails, complied with their own deadlines. HOwever, they did cancel my order and not refund me anything. VERY frustrating. Service nothing like what we expected for what we paid. My parents also bought from King in Canberra. They waited 6 months for their couch to be repaired and also received little in the way of communication.
Another company who gets the concept of selling but doesn't get the concept of supporting. You will read the word 'attempting' a lot. I have been dealing with King attempting to have my couch repaired since early 2021, with no success. Initially service calls were completed but the faults were not resolved. Since October 2021, i have been attempting to have it fixed with new faults discovered, each call to the service number is met with "i will raise that with a consultant", "a consultant will call you back". Guess what, i never get a call The latest admission from King is they are attempting to engage with a new service company to clear the issues. Meanwhile customers are not being communicated too and King seem ok with broken furniture sitting in peoples houses. Their management must have been sick the day they had 'Word of mouth, the greatest free advertising' lessons at the office. Truly this is what happens when management become disconnected from the customer, its all about the cash and not about the support. The saddest part is you will read review after review saying the same thing.
Very friendly and helpful staff. And very impressed with the quality and design of furniture.
