Kilim Cafe provides an authentic casual Turkish dining experience

Story

Our aim is to provide the best possible Turkish meals, at reasonable prices, using the freshest ingredients! Our meals are based on classic Turkish recipes, and include entrées, light meals, mains, and desserts.

From meze plates to kebabs, salads to our famous grilled meats, Kilim offers an option for all tastes and appetites.

Our menus also include a selection of delicious, traditional vegetarian meals.

We only use New Zealand beef and lamb, our authentic Turkish bread is made fresh on site, and we have the best Turkish delight around!

We are a BYO only cafe, so bring along your wine if you wish, we don't charge a corkage fee!
If wine isn't your style, we have a great selection of non-alcoholic beverages to choose from.

Amazing first time experience. The place is absolutely gorgeous giving a unique Turkish presence and vibe. Place is clean and tidy. Lots of rooms for customers to dine in. You can see everything that’s happening in the kitchen. Staffs are welcoming. They have two electronic self ordering kiosks that are easy to navigate which has pictures for every menu. Food was amazing. Everything tasted fresh and well seasoned. The shish lamb was a stunner. So tender and juicy. Food presentation was top notch as well. I was very impressed by that given this type of cuisine. The price is far too reasonable based on my overall experience. Would love to come again although I’m not living in Wellington.
Love all of their food, but I find myself always going back to the chicken salad. The baklava is usually added in to my meal, as I can't resist it. The staff are always so nice and friendly. While it is usually busy each time I visit, I don't wait too long for my food. One of my faves for sure!
A busy place for a good reason. Everything is quick and efficient from ordering our meals to being seated, and receiving our meals. One of our regular spots in Petone, it’s always consistent authentic fresh tasty food.
Usually really enjoy there food but have been finding the past couple times I have eaten there the food has been so salty I haven't been able to finish as it burns my mouth.
We visited Kilim at lunch hour on the weekend. The meals and all the other foods and desserts we ordered were really huge portions.. Service is excellent, cheerful, nimble and very efficient staff members.. The Turkish food is very tasty, quite different from typical other cuisines that restaurants generally serve. The place is very cozy, has a great ambience and is very neat and clean.. There are a few options for vegetarians too and is a really fantastic place for meat lovers.. Good place for anyone with a good appetite and for people who like to experiment with non stereo typical cuisine.. Our over experience was really nice, certainly worth a second and third visit, to try out the other stuff being served..
